Charlie Manton
I've ordered the new Sony A7Rii. I am a Director/DOP and have upgraded from the 60D... Looking to spend up to £2,000 on some lenses. Will be shooting in 4K also. I have been looking at the Samyang/Rokinon Cine Lenses. Will they still hold up at 4K? Any suggestions???? Am veering towards primes too. Another thing I am considering is getting a 24mm and then a 50mm prime. As with the A7Rii you can change from full frame to super 35mm crop - it will therefor make a 24mm be 36 (ish) mm, and the 50mm a 75 (ish) mm. Would be great to have any suggestions / recommendations????? Thanks!

Larry DeGala
I've used Rokinon 135mm Cine DS lens on the Super35 global shutter sensor of the Blackmagic 4K production camera as well as the full frame sensor of a Canon 5D Mk II. This was an EF mount. As for Sony E-mount, I've used same EF lens mounted on a Metabones Speed Booster ULTRA to a Super35 CMOS sensor of the FS-700.I cannot confirm that the e-mount version of the Cine DS lens would work in S35 or full-frame, but the EF version works excellent. If in doubt, rent, experiment, then buy.
