Mole broad light question

I'm not sure why they changed the rating. But If you really want to know just call their sales department. Or maybe that have a service or technical department. And please report back if they do. It may be worth saying that many different bulbs will fit in many of mole lights. different wattages for different purposes or even different wattages for different countries. I just ordered a bunch of 1000 watt soft lights with 500 watt bulbs in them.

I will say this though, a 1500 watt light could run off a normal and common U.S. 120 volt 15 amp breaker. A 2000 watt light would trip that 15 amp breaker. Even a 2000 watt light could trip a 2k breaker with it's inrush current.

UPDATE: I spoke to Mole earlier and the unit I have based on it's serial Nr. is old, very, very old. They were once rated at 2K, but since the early 70's they lowered it to 1500W. I asked why they changed the rating, but they didn't know. Maybe someone with a 1960's or 70's Mole catalog could know more.
