Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted March 3, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted March 3, 2016 Seen worse than that. Like the courage for so much black behind the typist. Hermes 3000, eh?
Adrian Maurud
Thanks! Its a dramatisation (If thats even the right word) of when a leader for district 25 of the Norwegian resistance during WW2 got killed. I was only the DP and operator on that shoot but i think it turned out great! it was meant to be super stylistic. The typewriter is sadly just some cheap knock off thing. But it certainly did its job!
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted March 3, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted March 3, 2016 Congrats on cutting your first reel! I would make a few changes. Make the title card much shorter, get right into the meat - producers don't have a lot of time to look at reels, so don't waste it. Put your best footage first. I like the piano shot and the iPad app shots the best. Remove the water shots from 0:22-0:30. They're not exposed well and won't reflect well on your skills. Basically if it's not great, take it out. As you keep shooting and improving, keep removing shots if you can replace them with something better.
