I checked it out. Didnt find anything within the limited budget. I got a few upcoming gigs which can cover new lamps. While I use these cheap ones until then.
We only have 2 pin sockets here in Norway, so I think they´re earthed in some other way, if they are tho. You may be right that they are not.
Haha, thanks for the heads up. Ill add it
Theyre probably flimsy, but I am more worried about if they will actually let me light my scene properly. I got a friend whos an electrician who can take a look at it
I´ve been going to filmschool for the last 3 years. I´ve done some freelance work on the side where I have been able to borrow a bag of redheads and two LED light panels. The problem is that the school year is coming to an end I will no longer be able to borrow lamps, and my budget is waaaaaay to small to buy some high quality ones.
Would these lamps be good enough for the job until I can pony up and buy some real lamps?

Renting is not an option.
Personally I just shoot in 4K, and then downscale to 1080. So except for the transcoding everything is exactly like it has always been for me. I have to add that I have edited an interview-ish thing between two people that i didnt shoot, where I got 4K files delivered. I edited that in 4K on a 1080 timeline to be able to punch in on just one face. So that was easier than setting up 3 cameras. Final delivery was still in 1080.
I am in the same situation as you. I bought a 7D2 last May and have been waiting for ML just to get shot down by the ML devs. If everything pans out I am shooting a music video with a Atomos recorder in a month or so. If you want to I can tell you how I feel about the result. Clean 8-bit 422 should hopefully make some difference...
Thanks!
Its a dramatisation (If thats even the right word) of when a leader for district 25 of the Norwegian resistance during WW2 got killed. I was only the DP and operator on that shoot but i think it turned out great! it was meant to be super stylistic. The typewriter is sadly just some cheap knock off thing. But it certainly did its job!
