Mariano Nante
Hi, I'm about to buy a miniDV cam, (either Sony VX2100 or Pan DVX100A), and a doubt struck me just now. I've got a good computer, and I want to edit my DV films on it in order to record DVDs. If I buy something like this, will I be able to plug the cam into my cpu? Should I buy something more, like a special software, or the cam and this thing will work? I know the question is kind of naive, I'm sorry...
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted June 19, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted June 19, 2005 Hi, First off, this isn't really the right forum for that kind of question - you're likely to get better answers over on dv.com or on creativecow. Secondly, yeah, that's a firewire interface board, although many even slightly modern PCs have similar ports built in. What you want to do for software is such a wide question that really you should ask elsewhere giving more details on exactly what you want to achieve.
