Frederic Frot
I've got a question about those two standard. Can they both be used in old 16mm 2R camera without trouble? The 2R-3000, as i read, seem to be important for high speed camera. But what about 8 to 64 fps camera ? Thanks
Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted March 16, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) Completely irrelevant. The theoretical perforation pitch difference of 0.0006", in practice often a little less, can cause some more noise as the transport claw hits the hole edges. Short pitch perforation is intended for negative stocks to run directly on the sprocket drum of continuous contact printers, the full pitch perforation raw stock sitting outermost. A geometrical thing High speed cameras typically run up to 500 frames per second intermittently and up to 10,000 or 32,000 fps continuously. The range of 8 through 64 is comparatively slow, no need for worry. Charge la pelloche et tourne! Edited March 16, 2017 by Simon Wyss
