charles pappas
Hello, I have two Ang. 12 x 120 lenses and have attached a photo of the mounts, which appear to be the same except that one lens mounts is missing the plate surrounding the rear element. Can someone identify the mounts and also confirm whether or nor the missing plate renders the lens un-mountable. Thanks, Charles Pappas
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted June 12, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted June 12, 2018 They look like Arri Standard mounts. The lack of that plate shouldn't matter, as long as the slot at the back still locates the tab in the camera mount or adapter. The important surface is the one just behind the aperture ring, which seats the lens at the right depth from the film plane. The groove at the back of the rear cylinder is the part that keeps the lens from falling out, and the slot locates the lens and prevents it from turning.
