Kieran Coyne
Hello Everyone! I am a Trainee who is looking for advice from others on how they have mounted various monitors in the past. I know it isn't rocket science but I am aware there are some pretty creative solutions out there, and i'm keen to hear and share the knowledge. AJ Young
It depends on the situation for the monitor, its size, and what you need it for ultimately. I've found the Ultralight design the most useful for mounting: https://www.ulcs.com/ Cages for monitors are becoming more common and make mounting easier! https://www.smallrig.com/cages/monitor-cage.html
David Ishida
Ultralight style arms are awesome, as they tend to be able to take a lot of weight. I also recommend having a baby pin adapter (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1046652-REG/matthews_350625_baby_pin_adapter.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A514&gclid=CjwKCAiAp5nyBRABEiwApTwjXt5Z6eJhACgwPlPIQwwn81V0_CRWWkr_4QurGF2rPEi0pwVvYMBy0BoCw0QQAvD_BwE) and a nano clamp (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1155179-REG/manfrotto_386b_1_nano_clamp.html) around. Kieran Coyne
Thanks David! Seen many of my fellow assistants use baby pins I just wasn’t too sure what they were called. Luckily I have a nano clamp in my run bag so I can see what I can do with it. Cheers!
