Gabriel Wilson
Shooting tomorrow on Canon 1014 XLS Super 8mm. curious if anyone has advice on what shutter angle to use when shooting 24fps? 220 or 150? or should i just stick with 18fps? Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted October 20, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted October 20, 2020 Try both and see how it looks! The larger shutter angle will help (a little) if you're shooting in low light and will blur motion a bit more, which makes movement look smoother played back. The smaller shutter angle should look a tad sharper for still scenes but motion won't look quite as smooth. Subtle differences.
