If you're using an Alexa Classic, you're limited to recording 2K or HD ProRes, which can be recorded internally on the camera to Sony SxS Pro Cards. Other Alexa models (XT/SXT/Mini etc.) can record higher resolution ProRes files (3.2K for XT and Mini, also 3.4K Open Gate ProRes on SXT) in camera.
