Top spool on Krasnagorsk 3 doesn’t spin, will this be a problem?

As title says, just got a krasnagorsk 3 (my first ever 16mm camera) and everything is in great condition but the top spool doesn’t spin. I’m assuming since the bottom one spins, (and the top one still spins if you move by hand), then it will trigger a reaction when everything is together. Just making sure this is the correct assumption, my first roll of film will come in a few days. Thanks!

Only the take-up (bottom) spindle needs to be driven, the feed (top) spindle is passive, the film is pulled from it by the sprocket rollers.
