Creating my own V-Lock power adapter for Arriflex SR2

Hello guys,

I recently bought a S16 converted arriflex SR2 with recently re-celled original Arriflex batteries.

I know that Elokuvakonepaja sells a beautiful V-lock power adapter for the SR2. But 1350€ HT is a bit expensive only for a V-lock plate which would be enjoyable to power camera accessories...

I saw that some people built their own V-lock plate with the back of an Arri original battery and a V-lock plate screwed on it like Vocas one (https://en.vocas.nl/bebob-vmm-micro-dtap-lemo-vmicro-battery-plate-w-2-twist-d-tap-and-lemo-2p.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwgMqSBhDCARIsAIIVN1WXididQZVEyLh4mmIkq6_iMF_wZfNhhpg6Lv1UWeoBsk2vN9frmvIaAucGEALw_wcB it looks that it's the same adapter on Elokuvakonepaja's one). But I suppose that I need a voltage regulator to bring V-lock Power from 14,4V to 12V...

Somebody has already done this operation here ?

Some advices would be wonderful !

Thanks,

Louis

Hello Louis,

I made a power adaptor for my Eclair ACL - used a FXlion V-lock plate and a power regulator. Works great. I guess FXlion option is worth looking at because it's really cheap, sized like bebob (for a fraction of a price) and they have a compatible v lock batteries - super light and small as well. 50/100 wh

Let me know when you finish your project, I am really curious. ?
