  2. I don't want to mess things up. But that's right that I prefer to avoid any costly service if it's just a question of soldering a cable, something I can do by myself... But I confess, I have no idea where this cable is supposed to be soldered and whether it's gonna solve the problem or not ! So I don't try anything without a specific information....
  3. Hello guys, I have a late arriflex 16SR2 Super PL working great with everything. It got updated before I bought it : 16SR3 swinging top handle and the back of the camera looks like an SR3 back also (grey with ACC and CCU receptacle and 2 LEDs on sides, the battery receptacle is still an XLR4). But I have an issue with any external speed control box (I tried three of them so it comes from the camera : VSU, FSZ and Precision speed Control). All of them can start and stop the camera through the CCU receptacle but it doesn't change the speed. It stays on the camera speed 24 fps. Anybody here already had this issue ? I opened the camera to check whether there was something obvious and saw that a white cable is free and unsoldered (coming from the ACC / pilot tone receptacle), so I think this cable has nothing to do with speed info going into the camera ? Thanks for your help, Louis
  4. Hey Dave, I have no answer but ... I would be also very interested by any kind of advice on how to tune the iMac display (5K retina, 27-inch also) for color grading and post... Thanks,
  5. Hello guys, I've just received an Arri VSU made for BL and 16SR (1 and 2). I plugged it in my arriflex SR2 s16. The start button on the VSU works, it starts the camera and it seems to roll at the right speed. But when I switch the "switch button" to the variable speed mode. The start button keeps working but it does not change the speed of the camera. I tried several times with several speed options and starting on the camera, on the VSU, removing the battery and stuff... but still rolling at 25 fps. Any idea where the issue could come from ? Thanks a lot, Louis
  6. Hello guys, I recently bought a S16 converted arriflex SR2 with recently re-celled original Arriflex batteries. I know that Elokuvakonepaja sells a beautiful V-lock power adapter for the SR2. But 1350€ HT is a bit expensive only for a V-lock plate which would be enjoyable to power camera accessories... I saw that some people built their own V-lock plate with the back of an Arri original battery and a V-lock plate screwed on it like Vocas one (https://en.vocas.nl/bebob-vmm-micro-dtap-lemo-vmicro-battery-plate-w-2-twist-d-tap-and-lemo-2p.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwgMqSBhDCARIsAIIVN1WXididQZVEyLh4mmIkq6_iMF_wZfNhhpg6Lv1UWeoBsk2vN9frmvIaAucGEALw_wcB it looks that it's the same adapter on Elokuvakonepaja's one). But I suppose that I need a voltage regulator to bring V-lock Power from 14,4V to 12V... Somebody has already done this operation here ? Some advices would be wonderful ! Thanks, Louis
