Cecile ROLAND
Hi ! I'm a student in a private french cinema school, I intend to go working to China (my ambition is to became a DP). Before that I would like to go on in studying cinematography and improve my skill in chinese language by finding a school in China. Do you know any Chinese Cinema School (or at least a way to find one, because my research till now are vain)? And do you have any idea about the possibilities of getting a job in films in this Country? Thank you very much for any information!

Morgan Peline
I don't know what standard the BFA is nowadays but a few decades ago, after it re-opened its doors after a hiatus during the repercussions from the cultural revolution, it produced the 'fifth generation' of Chinese filmmakers including Chen Kaige and Zhang Yimou who both studied there during the same time. Yes, I've heard about that. A chinese friend of mine told me that all the great Chinese filmmakers studied at the BFA. It seems to be quite a good school and opened to foreigners too!
