my very first movie

Hi ,

I am very new to cinematofraphy. I was a photographer just switched to cine..

i along with some friends are making a short movie

 

i wanted to know to give it a movie kind of effect what to shoot on , 30p 60i etc..??

i dont understand that much ,

 

also what shtter speed do i need to keep so tht there is no blur , like how in photography i shoot on 125 or 100 ... does this apply to cinematography as well

 

what all things do i need to keep in mind when shooting with pd170

 

whats Iris and gain ?? How different is that from aperture ...

 

and also how do i fade in and out ? what exatcly does that mean
