  1. There is an awesome Korean film....actually, two now that I think about it, from Kim Ki-duk set in one location. "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring (one of my favourite films) and also the thematic sequel, "The Bow" all takes place on one boat. I strongly recommend you check them out. J. Soren Viuf
  2. So I am shooting a film in Taiwan, and am looking at rental houses and equipment supplies available there. If anybody has shot there or lives there, any advice would be extremely useful. For a segment of the film shot in the States, I will be shooting on an Arri SR Super 16 camera, so a similar camera would be optimal, but I frankly have no idea what is standard or even available in Taiwan. I also need information on available tripods, dollies, lenses, etc. If anybody has any suggestions, I will be very grateful. Thank you so much. J. Soren Viuf
  3. Hey, I am shooting a film that culminates in a hero shot. What, in your experience, is the best way to accomplish this? I wanted to experiment with the actor placed directly between the camera and a light, creating a strong back/kicker outline. I also thought about shining lights directly into the camera, but realized that would be better in post, right? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks. J. Soren Viuf
