I just said I needed it to Rain Coffee creamer... Jarred Wilson was my gaffer... but he also has a art department background which is great when I have crazy Ideas...in moments they had this...he also looks rocking in sunglasses... lucky the 1902 brothel was falling apart and we where able to stick a grip up there... which we almost left up there at lunch... thanks for all the feedback... its impossible to make everyone happy... Yeah I was putting the first too up front since they are more well known... sen dog is from Cypress hill but he hasent done as much solo work... But I figure the people that like the more pop/country stuff would get turned off and stop the reel if they didn't see something or someone they knew... the people that like the darker stuff Im hopeing they stick around for a minute... I'm always torn between mixing things up and trying to give the reel a direction... Lite to dark... is a nice Idea but it might make people think I've done less stuff then mixing it up... but now the question is should I make just a hip hop reel or just a grunge reel... for someone that would like the country one they might get scared by the Cookie monster rock...How many reels do you need!?...and yeah I tried to pull out the most digestible part of the screaming one...

Is the reel short enough for people who don't like that style to look past them? and Is it plus to have some different styles on your reel? for the loren battle video: "coffee creamer I need lots of Coffee Creamer" I had discovered on an odd efx shoot the day before how great coffee creamer worked as atmosphere. So I asked for it and they delivered... but it was going to take a wile so for the first shot we used dry wall dust... wich I'm sure was highly toxic... then the rest of the day we used Coffee creamer... which a week latter we found out was highly . www.vincentpascoe.com

So this is my 3rd "date" with red... I really want to like the girl, I could see myself falling for her easily. Shes got great potential, she looks great and shes a cheap date! but shes a bit temperamental and flakes out on me every time we go out. Im just wondering is it just me or is she like this with everybody? Had "critical shutdown" camera will shut down in 10 sec. happen today. Day ext. Basic Motion Control a lifetime of learning Eletonics and 6 months of Studying Motion control and Robotics. some freinds at Motarola said to make the box I wanted would cost about $10,000 to build. I Jurry riged and mygyverd something Else and "not includeing my sticks" cost less then $500. and its in infant stage next I want to set up a Dollly rig for it. we "faked" Mo-co dolly shots on Yesturdays Tommorro and I would love to do them for real. I've also been doing a lot of Specal effect testing with the Rig its working so far. yeah I tried to Orginise by Landscape first then people then people at night not perfect but some Struchture one of my freinds wants me to competely scramble it. so to help me out any shots I should pull and whats your favorite I sould keep? Been very busy. a few weeks ago i did some test Shooting with the HVX/M2/Stedy cam flyer. Now wile shooting time-lapse in Sedona I have some time to report. Since the first Test shooting I've done 3 more shoots with the Flyer/m2/HVX combo and 5 more shoots with the Follow focus. The test spec footage montage is here http://files.filefront.com/test_footage_72...;/fileinfo.html or streaming Flash here http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...9061900&n=2 Red Rock Follow focus Review PROS:: Cheap Amazing for under $600 smooth and Acurate Works with any Still/hvx lens arri Style hole fits Whips CONS Lag in Gear to Focus knob the Worst is the Lag, a moment after you move the Knob but before the gear moves. My AC (Amish Jim) would have to ?set? the Direction the rack was going to be in. The Lag in the Gear can be a real big Pain expressly on small racks back and forth and on Auto focus lenses or Macro Lenses. I talked with the Red rock guys and they Said there lag is better than the competition witch may be true but it still really hurts. I think the problem is in the gearing to the Lens. The ratio makes it very noticeable on Some lenses. if the ratio between the Follow focus and lens where changes so it would be a smaller movement the Lag wouldn't be as much of an issue. Racking on the still lenses worked great except on my Auto focus lens the Direction was changed so on the LA side of Camera forward went backward. It takes a sec for you to make sure you don't over tighten the Gear up into the lens making it harder to rack. But after testing that all the lenses moved really smooth. I also didn't get 2 screws shipped to me to tighten up the FF on to the Rods so I Home depoted some?The fact that the ring doesn?t come off is not really a problem, just not what I?m used to. Conclusion I always Say ?Sometimes you get what you paid for? but the rest of the time you get a great Deal.? Having the FF instead of racking on the Lenses yourself can be a god send. The red rock follow focus is an Amazing deal at a 3rd of the cost of the only competitor that I know of. It would be perfect if not for the Lag. But with the Lag there is room for improvement. Steadicam Flyer Review I was Directing/DP not operator, but from my point of view here is my review PROS: Its Only 6 GRand! works well with M2/Hvx combo handled the weight great great movement Professional Arm good LCD CONS: Its 6 ****ing Grand! Can't run SD and HD out of HVX sucks takes a wile to re balance after every lens change Focus is hard to impossible with out a whip or Bartek/fiz solution It took a long time the first time to get Balanced with the M2/FF/HVX and even just a small 50mm prime. But Eventually even with my 14mm Sigma (witch is huge). it balanced out great. my Steady cam guy Michael sSy recommends getting the Longer base plate its an additional $490 he doesn?t have it but if he did changing lenses would be quicker re balance. Focus is really hard even with a whip the Ac can ruin the balance of the Shot, we did it on one shoot it was better than just man handling the lens. The lag in the FF aculy helps because of a liitle buffer between you moving and the Lens moving. I made my own Wireless Follow focus unit and we tested it on my 14mm and it worked great but I custom made it just for that lens and have to keep re working it so it will work with all lenses. and I designed it so that it would better balance the camera By putting the Weight of the Battery/controler/Reciver to balance out the Lens and the Follow focus knob. Conclusion Compared to the Glide cam 4000 it?s a huge improvement and really the First Cheap (under 30,000) solution to HVX/M2. But I wish the Price tag was even remotely in the same ballpark ie under $2500. If you plan on doing Steady with the M2 you have to get a Remote Follow focus unit.

Congrates! my wife and I love that show. few questions... is the entire backyard all on a set? includeing EXT DAY sceences? how do you feel about "Replicating" the look that the first DP set? and how do you discuse/set up that? multiple cameras? Vincent Pascoe

we shot at 720 24Pn mode I used avid to color corect we used nikon/quantel still Lenes...the Nikon manual lenses with ED glass where great, very little breathing, Easier to rack...teh Auto lenes are a pain to rack. the Ac would sometimes have to rack from under the camera witch was a pain so He had to make his own marks...tomorro there shipping the folow foucus hopefully will be much better... I feel that with the M2 adapter the HVX transpherd to 35mm would still look sharper than DVX footage... but yes you do lose a stop and yes you do lose a little rezoloution than just the stock lens so I don't add any diffutsion. I'm looking for that projector look... I can try hazeing and useing the acual video projector ...what I'm looking for is that colored flicker I've seen it in many movies (maybe, Shawshank,paerl harbor,even Prison break?) I have a rotating Gobo for a fource for I could try to use that... the good news is theres no tallent..I just have to light the seats.... VP

seemed to long for the amount of footage and projects you had in it. didn't like the picture of you in the beging of it... Music worked...keep the shot of the punching bag in haze untill you get another like it thats beter. theres a very long outside dolly shot that shows some un-smoth camera operating...I under stand it was a long dolly but it felt way to long. I used almost no filter Sometimes pola.. 95% of the teaser is straight from camera I only color corrected four shots, the one sun set shot and the Bottle in foreground. and the Jail shot and last 3 interior shots I brought up the Setup 15 the Lenes NIkon mount 28mm F/2.8 50mm Macro f/2.8 ED 50mm F/2 28mm-105mm F/2.8 80mm-200mm F/2.8 ED 70mm-300mm F/5.6 VP

about the JVC's resuloution... look at http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=50288 I was suprised to see noise in the SD-I of the XLH1...I don't think its worth $3000 more then the JVC or HVX. all 3 cameras can produce good Images for under $10,000...all are beter than Mini-DV days. any would be fine to shoot with. Each camera has there own Benifits. Hvx also shoots and Playbacks variable framerates @720P from 2FPS to 60FPS. and the whole P2 card thing (no digitizeing in AVID) to me beats the 1.5 time it takes me to digitize HDV footage. for shorts,some comercails and Features I feel HVX is great. HLX1 Althou not uncompressed as some say the SDI-out is a Studio Camera Killer 4:2:2 (8-bit? I herd some people say?) non-HDV signal is hard to beat. and yes side by side to the HVX it's Image is hands down sharper. VP
