textures are beautiful at 1stop push... Take care!

Shot film recently where I placed all interior key at one under as it made faces look the most natural to my eye at least=) Baring in mind though, I was shooting with the 5218 (vision2 500T). Also shot a whole snow storm sequence at 4under making faces a greyish apperition amidst the falling snow. Worked very nicely with that with that stock. Blacks are at that point greyish which is what I wanted to achieve though. Fredrik.

I signed up for a program in a regular college in south Cal. Registered only for film courses, and then quit after I had done all of them, leaving all the pre requisites behind=) READ THE AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER!!! That´s a very good paper where u will find alot of inspiration, for instance by reading about films such as "North fork" =) (hint hint) And, as David said, watch alot of films and make your own with your family and friends. Certainly go for the 5218. Gives enormous shadow rendition. Fred.

It doesn´t sound too crazy except the cross bit maybe as the stock is already quite contrasty. But I sure won´t stop you if you want to try=) From what I know, at least the millennium is capable of s8 2K. Sincerely/ Fredrik.

Hi! Recently shot a video in the IMX format with the p+s 35pro. Learned a valuable lesson despite it looking very nice for being a video format...; The Sony IMX default shutter in progressiv scan is a true 25th of a second!! This is something that sure will render you without the film look you intend I can tell you! Otherwise, underexposure helps not only highlights I find, but also skin tones. Especially if using flourescent units skin starts to shmmer I feel without taking off the exp a tad. And also important! Always bring a sturdy case of dulling spray on set to kill reflections=) Good luck! Fredrik B/Sweden.

I believe a bit of force developing could help in rendering the higher contrast of those days too, besides the already good info given here. The grainstructure tends to stand out more too, and quite quickly in my experience. Just one stop of push has done it for me a few times in stills photo at least. Good luck!!

Hi all! Have with great success been using the 5218 many times, and have therefore come to love that stock. Question now is; when will the 200 and 100 ASA versions of this stock be made available to the market? And, is it so that any of you have alredy tried them?? Ohh I shiver at the sight of Super-8 being put down... :o Love the format! If not perfect it still gives more life to images than any video system in the world right now!! But hey... 16 sure kicks also of course B)

Hi there. Have seen them in use a few times, mostly as fill. During the prods I´ve seen them I worked as an electrician. The handling I must say was a bit awkward, heavy and hard to rig. The light i though nice for a flourescent.
