  1. When the Mini litepanels appeared, I fell in love with them, and ever since been dropping them in strategic places on most of my setups. Last year I also bought two 1x1 litepanels, which are my new favorite toys, you can just place them in the weirdest place, tightest locations. And with some manipulation the quality of the light is amazing. however I do find them a little Green next to other HMI sources. I deal with it with minus Green, I was wandering if you all agree that they are little green and if you do, how do you Deal with that. On a recent shoot I used them for a table top ECU shot of a wine Glass by placing the Glass right on the light, it did take a lot of diffusion to get those LED dots reflection from the Glass but once we did it gave it a very nice low glow. I would love to hear about any unconventional ways you used them for. thank you
  2. I own a Varicam H model and did a film out before(from an F) , I love my camera and bought it instead of an F900, it is a matter of taste and feel ? My rule is: for TV release : defiantly Varicam ,that 1080 sharpness will make it look like video again. Projection release: go with F900/3,viper,Red or? film. Like I said: it?s an individual thing For me a Varicam is super 16?

    4:3 in HD

Christopher This is one of the most depressing stages about the slow transition to HD, since not all viewers have wide 16:9 HD screens, we have to sacrifice and compromise our composition. On your side just set your safety lines to 4:3 which is your ?TV? safe frame, but never forget to make sure that all that area in your viewfinder is on film in case they change their mind later(don?t think of the area beyond as dead) . The 4:3 is done in post so just concentrated on that middle frame and shoot ?for TV? Guy
  4. If you are using FILM REC this option is not functioning, at Video REC you can put it on 720.
