  5. "Hi morgan that effect is done in camera by shooting at a slow frame rate i think that shot was 5 fps" But to get this effect, did you dublicate the frames later...? like in the wong-kar-Wai Films? by chris yes i like the camera work, but i didn´t like the ending of the story... is it a don´t take drugs ending and don´t have fun? mmh i don´t know... its too much... for me but jeah nice look... its 35mm :-) by chris
  6. its a old one from juni 2005, not perfect, but its ok i think... the biggest mistake is that i worked too much with the tripod, i think hope of some critics http://blip.tv/file/96548 by chris

  10. hi, first thanks for the critics... mmh its the old question if the reel is cut too fast or not... mmmh if i send the reel to someone, they get a dvd with the showreel and with some complete films, if they want to see more than the fast cutted reel... but i liked it and most of the people liked it too, but there are some who think its too fast... but thats cool for me, so i think its the final cut and next year i cutted a new one... yes i know that there is a telecine problem, and that it could look much better with a great telecine, but we never had the money for it, because mostly everything was student work/films, and i give it the look on my apple with final cut, and i played it out on minidv... Its worth for the look but that was the only way. But i think its a fine first personally reel, which shows my "lowbudget" work 20032006... thanks greets chris p.s. to aaron, very nice work, nice look, very profesionally and thanks for the interesting homepage. I searched so long to find a showreel network... yeah interesting... But in my opinion your showreel was cutted a little bit too slow... :-) yes i growed up with mtv by chris

  14. i post so long, till i get some critics... i cant believe that this is a international cinematographer forum and i don´t get one critic. Why? Why this film is ignored by you? i never said that i made a schocking unbelievebel absolute new documentary, no its just my first 16mm documentary for my filmschool in germany at 2003 and i think thats a interesting film, which schould be viewed by people/cinematographer who doesnt want to see all time the same boring television/docutainment thing. like in germany. Ok some scenes are realy hard to see but this is the idea of the film. to document somebody at work. And thats his work. "modern embalming" And im not a director student, its a cinematographer film, so if you are older than 16... thanks and greets chris you schould see it but be warned of the explicit details you are about to see... http://blip.tv/file/70710 and please look at my dopshowreel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9bGRfHqvo4 by chris caliman

  18. mmh no answers, sad, ok but you need probably some more informations.. ok i had 5 hours to shoot the film. arrisr1 camera aspec ratio wonderfull 1:1.33 3 rolls of kodak/eastman Double x bw material and the film is from 2003 a little bit old, but i think its a great and real small filmstudent documentary, very special but real interesting not because of the hard scenes. i think its very oldschool, but nice greets chris
