    Hi,

Are there cloths that don't fly much in the wind when you tie them on ropes to cut down the sunlight. I heard its called perforated cloths. If there are such cloths what all types do they come as? (Black, Satin, Silver, etc) Are they available in India?

How would anyone posting advice here know the answer to that?  Unless of course, we have worked in India.

This is the part where you go off and make some calls or emails to grip rental businesses.

  2. OP hasn't reported back since the 10th of May??

Camera sitting on a soft mount on an amusement part ride, held only by straps? A bad trip for camera, camera op. and any and all patrons of the fairground. The idea screams out for a rigid speedrail rig.

  3. Double ended halogen 500w?  Yes you can substitute a 300w globe of the same length.  Why not use ND or a scrim to knock down the output? Make certain the color temp isn't too low, as close to 3500 as you can find.

A lower voltage globe will have a very short and bright lifespan.  Don't do it.

  4. As described in the manual:

    Frequency Selection
This feature allows fine-tuning of the frequency of the SkyPanel’s light output to adjust for slight flicker or roll bars that might occur when shooting at uncommon frame rates or shutter angles. Pick from 10 different frequencies that could reduce or eliminate small amounts of these image anomalies, while maintaining full control over intensity and color tuneability.

  5. Thank you David and Adrian! I'll check in with the Rag Place, pick up a 6x6 frame and go from there.

Try Highlight Film Works, local manufacturer of rags, appleboxes, etc., in Yonkers, NY area. Email is easiest: Phgrip01@aol.com He'll make any size flag or rag you want, with any fabric he has available. His 4x4 Ultrabounce floppies are great, better build quality than others. He does re-covers and repairs as well.

  6. Wow somebody has a very stilted viewpoint of the state of lighting today. Since Kino has the bulbs manufactured to their specs, I'd think that they wouldn't want to cause a riot by suddenly making every Kino head obsolete.

    A 1x1 Bi-color Astra Lightpanel is still neraly $1000, a Celebrity 250 $2800.
