  1. That sounds fine to me. But there's also the Micro Four Thirds crop factor: 10mm = 15mm (35mm Equivalent) 16mm = 24mm (35mm Equivalent) Which one gives me the best focus option for Steadicam work? It would be nice to have a lens that I can set to infinity with a wide depth of field and not have to worry about focus. I don't care if it's a zoom or a prime. As long as the shot stays in focus, I'll be happy with it. Do you have a link for those depth of field tables? I wouldn't mind having a look at them.
  2. Since I don't have a focus puller, I need the lens to do all the work. Which lens do you recommend and what setting should I use?
  3. OK, let me try a simpler question: Is there a matte box that works with the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens? No filters or f@*#k-All, just the lens. As in this one: Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens: http://vistek.ca/sto....for-nikon.aspx ??????
  4. Speaking of Matte Boxes..... You guys seem to know a thing or two about them, so... I own the NEX-FS100, a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens, and a Genus 77mm ND filter: Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens: http://vistek.ca/store/CameraLenses/...for-nikon.aspx Genus 77mm ND filter: http://vistek.ca/store/CameraFilters...-nd-fader.aspx OK here's what I need help with: I need a matte box that works with this lens/filter combination, doesn't vignette with the Tokina at 11mm on my NEX-FS100, but still allows access to the ND filter ring. I might be asking for too much here, but I'll ask anyway just on the off chance that somebody actually got this working on their camera.
  5. Hi all: I previously used a Blackmagic declink/SDI card to capture from my EX1 XDCAM -using the "uncompressed"/"raw" (HD/SDI Out) BNC connector. The decklink would only capture at 1080i@59.9 Hz uncompressed AVI (v210) format. It wasn't that bad, but I wanted MORE! So, I went out and bought a Matrox MX02 le with MAX because I wanted to capture uncompressed SDI-out 10-bit at 1080p x 24 fps (NTSC). Instead, the only way I could see the output of the Sony EX1 via the SDI-In of the MX02 was by setting the "Project Format" to 720p@59,94 fps. What am I doing wrong here? Has anyone else experienced this problem using a Sony EX1 (SDI-Out to MX02 SDI-In) ? Regards, and thanks ahead for any feedback/help you can offer. Shawn
