Hello, to all colleagues here, I haven't been active lately because of few interesting projects I was working on. At the moment we finished first block of shooting, waiting for weather to change and to continue shooting. So, I am in production with the short film, idea behind it is how context changes point of view of other people. Plot of the movie goes something like this. Writer without inspiration, hears a story of a girl who was probably raped at her younger age, as the guy is still free, he tries to go and find him. As he managed to locate him, he sees him putting a little girl inside of his car, and immediately goes for the rescue. I will not spoil the end of the movie. Small crew consisted of only 10-12 people, as i in camera and light department had 3 people. Film was shot on RED one and Zeiss SHS-s. We shot 2:1 but with frame lines set on 2.35:1. (Screen grabs later are 2:1) Exteriors were shot mostly with available light handheld. Interiors were lit with bunch of HMI-s and Kinoflo-s. Here are some screen grabs of a footage that was not color corrected. Also, they should have been cropped to 2.35:1 but i was to lazy to do it. Let me hear what u think.

Are those frame grabs? Could you please write more about lights used, budget? I see lots of practicals used in the shot.. thx

Hey Dominc, sorry for taking this long to reply, it was a bit busy time for me now. Thank you for your interest in this movie. If I am correct, Festivals are on the top of the list, than DVD and internet. I think I could make them to make a short trailer of the movie. And than show it to you and others. About your question about exterior shots, i am afraid i cant say 100% sure, but I am sure it was a mixture of stocks for the exteriors. It did not fit on only one roll of 7201 (50D), part of it was on 7212 (100T), and maybe a shot or two on 7219 (500T). You can clearly see the difference between 50D and 500T. 7201 is a great stock, but i am not that sure i like it using it on tight close ups like i used it in this movie. I can show you more making of photos.

Movie is more or less finished and we are hoping to have the premiere later this month. Next week you can see it in Cannes short corner :)

No problem, Here is a music video we shot also on set of the movie. There are shots from the movie. Well, this zoom is good, because we used master primes on other cameras for this shots.

really slow, Croatia is a very small industry. On the first call of economy crises the firs thing that was cut out was ... you guess ... funding of movies :) Except that, it was great :))

DP M. Neumann used it a lot on his last feature that he shot here in Zagreb. and he claims that it is a great lens. I would agree!

Here are few more, The interesting thing is, he is shot on 7212, buh her shot was on 7201. On screen you can see the difference. 7210 has more contrast and it is pretty much more saturated.

I would also not recommend doing cross-process for a serious project without a few tests! Don't get yourself in a situation, where if anything goes wrong, you will not be able to say what was the problem. Do some test
