  1. Im looking to buy the newer version Red Pro Zoom 17-50mm ASAP. Im in Austin, TX and have the money in hand, ready to make a deal! Thanks!
  2. I have a used Arkay G-3 developing tank for 8mm and 16mm films. It will hold 100 feet of film. I have used it several times over the last few years and it definitely works fine. No light leaks, but I did tape the seams when I used it just in case. Very clean inside and out. There is some rust on the chain for the rubber stopper but that doesn't affect the performance in any way. It would be easy to replace if you wanted to. I'm asking $100 shipped Paypal only unless you're in Austin and have cash. USA only please. I'll use USPS priority to send it out. Thanks! Joseph Photos:
  3. Hello, I just wanted to share a music video I recently shot and directed for the artist Cheeto Fool's new single "Too Many People". Please take a look! http://vimeo.com/4797966 Thanks, Joseph
  4. Here's a shot of the case (Disregard the tripod and tripod bag, they are not for sale!)
  5. Hi Taylor, thanks for your interest. 1) It's hard to estimate the hours in the camera but I would say no more than 40 (I have a rack of 50 tapes with footage from this camera, but alot of those tapes are only half-full). For commercial projects I've always rented either high-def equip or a film camera. This was for my personal work. I've never used it to capture, I have a small Canon cam for that. I've had it for about 3 1/2 years, but in that time I've shot more 16mm for myself than DV. 2) I'm only selling this because I need something smaller and High-def for a personal project I will be traveling around the world for. I love this camera and I hate to see it go. It is a wonderful cam. It's just a touch too big for what I need now. As I said in the last post, I will sell the whole package (XL2, 16x lens, Chrosziel matte box/FF) PLUS a custom-cut Storm iM2950 case SHIPPED to you (Con US) for $4100. I will UL a photo of the storm case on Wed morning. Thanks for your interest!
  6. Price Drop: Canon XL2 - $1850 Chrosziel Matte Box package - $1450 16x Servo lens - $750 If you buy all of the above as a package, I will throw in a Storm IM2950 rolling case cut to fit this all perfectly AND ship it to you for $4100! EWA Marine bag - $300
  7. please disregard this thread. I am parting this out and have started a new thread for claritys sake thanks
  8. I have a great XL-2 setup that I am going to piece out in order to sell. This camera has worked flawlessly. Never had any issues with dropouts or mechanical problems, dead pixels, etc. Heads regularly cleaned. ONLY Sony premium tapes have been used in this camera. Fantastic camera, great colors, sharp. For sale: --- Canon XL2 with 20x lens, battery, strap, remote, sunshade, lens/body caps, users manual. $2000 *There was some rubbing on the viewfinder and on the aperture 'nub' from the Storm Case foam I kept the camera in. This caused the rubber coating to peel off of those parts. It is purely cosmetic. See photo #3. --- Chrosziel 4x4 matte box, lightweight support rails, follow focus, rotating filter holder, 4x4 glass Tiffen circular polarizer in soft case, 72-85mm step-up ring, 72mm UV filter, 16x9 matte, french flags, plate for XL2 (plates for mounting other cameras to the matte box can be purchased from 16x9 inc). $1600 --- Canon 16x manual servo lens. Clean, perfect glass. $800 Here's a shot of the above items all setup together (minus the dual battery holder and tripod of course). I will sell all of the above as a package for $4100 Also for sale: --- EWA Marine soft housing for Canon XL1 (XL2 *could* fit if you remove the shoulder support, although I haven't tried it). $350 *I only used this thing twice. Both times it was properly washed and dried. No leaks or tears present. Included: soft case, 2lb divers weight, weight holder, desiccant, various step-up rings Pickup in Austin, TX is preferred (or I'll meet you within a reasonable distance), but I will ship. Buyer pays actual shipping and insurance. Your choice of shipping methods (UPS, Fedex, etc). I prefer cash or cashiers check. Any personal checks will have to clear before shipping. Please email me or post here with any questions. Thanks! -Joseph Winchester
  9. I have my lightly used Canon XL2 setup for sale. (Photos below) Here's the details: Canon XL2 Kit (Sold as a kit, no parting out, so don't ask!) - Canon XL2 w/ stock 20x Auto lens - Canon 16x Manual Servo lens - Chrosziel 4x4 Matte Box with 15mm rail support and follow focus, french flags, rotating filter holder, 16x9 mask, 72mm step-up ring - 4"x4" glass Tiffen Circular Polarizer with soft case - Canon dual battery holder/charger - 2 BP-930 batteries with charger/AC adapter - Manfrotto 3051 Auto tripod w/ soft case - Manfrotto 501 fluid head - Storm IM2950 hard camera case with wheels and retractable handle Camera has minor cosmetic rubbing on two parts from the foam of the case, which I didn't catch immediately. This is purely cosmetic, on the thin rubberized coating, and can be covered. Camera/tripod have been taken extremely good care of, never in the rain, sand, underwater, etc. Never been dropped or knocked. Heads regularly cleaned. Sony Premium tapes ONLY. Lenses clean and unmarked. Camera is in great condition and works perfectly. I have been VERY happy with this setup and am only selling it to upgrade to HD equipment. It is a wonderful camera setup and takes beautiful images! Asking $6000 OBO. Buyer pays actual shipping/insurance costs in addition to kit price. Pickup in Austin, TX gets priority! Will meet you within a reasonable distance of Austin as well. Cash, or cashiers check is preferred. Personal checks will need time to clear before pickup of camera. Please email or post here with any questions. Please contact me privately for other offers. Thanks! -Joseph Winchester
  10. Bogdan, It is better to start a new thread with your question than piggy-back on someone elses, especially when the questions are different. You will get more answers in your own thread.
  11. I haven't use the cinema lights, but I have used their strobes for still photography. They were really cheap and plastic and didn't always fire when the shot was taken. Take it for what it's worth, but if the movie lights are anything like the strobes, I would steer clear of them!
  12. Yeah it's tough. It seems alot of places don't really care about their Super8 customers. Gotta please the big boys first, which is fine I guess. I've had issues with Cinelab in the past. They did make it right after I complained. I would talk to them. I wish Dwayne's Photo did BW Reversal and transfers.... they get Ektachrome S8 back to you in a day. Its insane. That's service! Unfortunately, we'll have to deal with places treating S8 as the ugly duckling of the family. But I guess it's good they do it at all. But I feel your pain.
  13. I got one at Batteries Plus, a local battery store. I took my old battery in and they matched it up with a new one. No problems. I also got a small trickle charger which helps keep the battery charged and ready to go.
  14. Are you a student? If so, directly from Kodak with their student discount is a really good deal. Otherwise, I've used Film Emporium as well with great results. Calling them is best. Their short end stock changes regularly (if you're wanting that) so calling will get you exact answers.
  15. Google doesn't turn anything up, so I'll ask the pros here: How much does an Eiki EX-4000p 16mm projector in very good/excellent condition with a new-ish bulb generally go for? With low hours on the meter too. I've heard talk of around $3,000... Any thoughts? Thanks
  16. There is a classifieds section for sales. Need more info on the camera. Photos are good. Your location and shipping options are a must. You'll probably have a hard time selling it here since you have only 1 post.
  17. You are projecting the film, right? It's not a video transfer? It sounds like the film isn't being held in place through the gate. I'm not familiar with the bolex inner-workings but check the pressure plate or the mechanics around the gate. The film should be tight and straight as it moves through. if not, it will look blurry like you describe. That's all i can think of.
  18. I developed a short roll of 7222 in Tmax and it certainly had a good amount of grain. But, I am using a Morse rewind tank and it really agitates the hell out of the film. So, a lomo spiral tank will probably give better results. I agree, Pyro is a great developer. Check the Photographer's Formulary webiste / catalog. You may try Accufine as well. Great developer. I use it for 4x5 work.
