  1. I'm looking for a place to send a couple of Leicina Specials in for a CLA (clean, lube, adjustment). Nothing is wrong, but I want to keep them in good condition. Any recommendations? I'm in Seattle.
  2. There is also Cinevent in Ohio in May. http://cinevent.com/ Lots of interesting classic films to view at a very low price. BTW, I grew up in Miami in the 60's and early 70's. There was a revival theater in Coral Gables that showed silents then. I'm sure it is long gone, but there weren't many places to see great movies in theater even then. Since you are a student check to see if the University of Miami has a film society for screening films.
  3. Don, thanks... I think that is it! I'll send him an email. Cheers, -Phil
  4. Hi, I thought this would be easy to search and find out, but no luck which is why I'm asking the experts. To do time lapse with a Bolex EL, is that a function built into the camera, or is it an add-on with something like a Tobin unit? And would this be true for all ELs, or just a specific model? Thanks. 5. Try www.16mmfilmtalk.com. There is a WANT section and I'm sure that you could find something inexpensive if you post what you want. There are lots of good inexpensive projectors it just depends what you are looking for. Kodak Pagents are usually pretty cheap and they can be easily modified if you want to replace the lamp with an external more powerful lamp. Eiki, Elmo, B&H are also pretty common. Here are a couple of other sites: www.urbanskifilm.com www.robbiesreels.com
