  1. I own a couple of still lenses which have a similar flare effect check out:
  2. I disagree it can be done in post, and these samples do not look great to me, sorry
  3. i just finished a 5 days test with the f900r. the second hdsdi output comes only with a new board. it got 93 pages of menu, some more than the 750 and the menu structure reminds me of the 750. most important features: (de)saturation, hypergamma and user gamma. it seems to be less noisy so far
  4. or canon cinestyle lens 7,5-158, no servo zoom, no breathing, clean shading
  5. I shot with a 750 and a tyler nosemount on a helicopter. the camera was hanging free, no case or other facilities. It worked fine, we just got some destortion with a c motion remote focus/ iris
  6. you barely loose definition! I tested it a couple of times vs a digi prime, same t stop. I watched it on a Sony 24" HD 1080 CRT. Unbeleievable but true. the pro 35 gives you the effect of a 1/4 - 1/2 promist. it rises your blacks about 3-5 %. light loss: 1 1/2 - 1 2/3 stop
  7. which camera? with SONY you have to create these files, or they have been made by a former user. In last case it's useful to name the lens files with a short description, Lens, T Stop, focal length. a brand new camera won't have any lens files stored inside. 8. hi there i'm still waiting for my install key to use the cvp. Nevertheless I got some curves, which have been created with the software. They have been created for a F900/3, I used them with a F900R. Their shape have been right but it took some step gamma adjustments to fit them to the camera. Any other experiences? 9. hi there both cameras 750+900 output 10bit 4:2:2. 12 bit of the 900 series is just the internal processing of the image. Harry Capota HD/ E-CINEMA www.dropout-films.de

Hi Once again I recommend you hiring a DIT or a hidef skilled AC. Personally, as a HD cameraman (& DIT) i appreciate that opportunity and I keep my head clear. My first task is being a cameraman! You don't need to bother yourself with silly settings with a good DIT As with film and other video formats: HD should be a storyteller tool, the cameraman should concentrate on making the appropriate pictures and serve the director...
