Justin, I'm so surpised by this whole thing. On marktplaats.nl (Dutch Ebay) he was selling a bolex H16 electric as 'Piet Dolf'. The name was suspicious to me, Piet is a very 'standard' name, if you're not a Dutchman and you don't know Dutch names, you choose 'Piet' or 'Jan' or something. And 'Dolf' is a bad guy in a Dutch cartoon show...
On his website, he uses very 'not quite right' Dutch, and his website looked not very professional for a filmcompany.
I wanted to have that bolex h16, but at that time, I had not enough money to buy it, so I asked him (in an email) if he could reserve the camera for me, until I had enough money to buy it. He called me back and said: "That's okey, if you pay me now (doesn't matter how much) the camera is yours and you can come to my company in Rotterdam. You can try the camera as much as you want. I have raw stock here so..." His accent was very 'Indian', very strange: his name was Piet, a very typical Dutch name.
I'm glad I didn't pay at that time, my parents advised me not to do that.
Justin, I feel sorry for you. This man need to be in prison!
