  1. Hi guys! I'm about to start a cooking tv program and the production house has already some cool lights (I think day are Philips) As we know is hard to get nice colors from this kind of "generic" lights. I know there is a lot of graphics and lights spectrums etc... but for a layperson is hard to understand... I wonder if there is some information or some photos or anything that a layperson could understand the principles of a good light source. do you guys think this exist? where can I find? thank you!!

Hi Guys I'm shooting in a small studio and used a Kino Flo Vista Beam to make my fill light I chose this type of light to have a soft light but at the same time leaving more focused and not spread to the entire set. I'm not too happy with it because I think that's still a bit harsh Do you guys think an Arri with chimera and egg crate can produce a softer light than the Vista Beam? Thank you! marcelo kron
  4. hey everyone, thanks for all the tips... in the end everthing worked out well, we ended up usinng arri's fresnels with some flags and lights on the ground were deleted in post production pushing down the blacks. regads marcelokron
  5. Hi guys I would like to ask an opinion for you. How to light three people in a studio with the floor and the back wall completely black the studio is deep enough to not let light leak in the back wall but my doubts is how to make the floor black. I'm thinking of using three Arri's fresnel 1000w one on eatch person in the fornt and 3 650w for backlights. Bul all will end up hitting the ground too. you have any suggestions on how to make everything 100% black? I will be using Canon 7D Thankyou for any help! marcelokron

  7. Hi Guys first of all sorry for my bad English... do you have any suggestion to acquire this kind of look... a clean and soft light with a kind of division between the table and the back ground? I'm thinking to use four 6,5feet x1,3feet soft box for the actress... 2 for the back lights and 2 for front light and i will tray to use 1k arri fresnel to make the back wall light ball do you guys think is better to work with HO lights? i'm sending a photo of the soft box light thank you for any help

  10. Hi guys! soon I will be shooting at this location with sony EX3 camcorder... do you guys have any idea how to deal with the differences of the lights... Indoor and out door... should i change all indoor lights to 5600k?? thanks for any suggestion! kron

  15. Hi Guys i'm using a PDW-335 xdcam and i'm not too sure about dcc and knee settings... the default setting is a good one?? or you guys use to change something?? I use to do journalism and I don't have time to adjust all items of dcc and knee like, slope, knee poit, ddc range, dcc gain, etc... is so many settings !! thanks for any help!

  18. Hi Mitch!! Thank you very much!!! I don't have yet the camcorder here to see if there is any DC out from battery mount... do you know if there is one on the Sony V mount batters? I would like to use a lcd monitor on the top of the camera for my director to see what I am making even though when camera in the shoulder I don't know yet if goes to be a Sony DSR 570 or a DSR 390 regards marcelokron.com.br

I'd like to know if anyone ever used the power output jack [dc out] on the sony cameras model DSR390 or any other camera that has the same 4 pin output to feed a LCD monitor. and what would be the name for this plug as the LCD doesn't carry the same kind of plug to fit the camera so i'll have to built myself a cable Tks for any help marcelokron www.marcelokron.com.br
