  3. I am looking for a writer for a new show in Mexico. If you are interested please contact me at Email me
  4. About to start pre-production for my new web series.

  5. I dig your pics. There's something about underwater photography that just gets me. I think some of your pics can use a little photoshop to bring the color up a little bit IMHO. Good stuff JE
  6. I love it. It's very original. Can't wait to see more of your work in the future.
  7. So we all agree it is excellent work and all it needs is more movement to make it more interesting. I love the post done on the first shot, you tricked everyone!
  8. I like the trailer and it looks like a really entertaining movie. I would love to watch it at the movie theater. Congratulations and good luck with the distribution.
  9. Hi guys. My computer at home won't open the www.dvxuser.com website, and my friend's computer opens a window that says it is a malicious website. I used to find very interesting information there, just like in here. Are you guys experiencing the same ? Thanks JE
  10. ... and of ALL the forums you figured out your post would perfectly fit in the DIRECTOR'S CORNER FORUM. Not the students/schools forums, nor the lighting forum... how about the GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM??? No. The Director's Corner was the perfect choice.
  11. Visité tu website y te felicito por tu trabajo, es excelente.

  12. That's very, very helpful, Paul. I really appreciate it.
  13. Writer´s perspective My treatment is already including 35 scenes and the whole third act is missing. I'm guessing the script is going to be about 120 - 130 pages long and some scenes might be 1 1/2 - 3 pages long. From what you said, I'm within the average. I really appreciate your replies.
  14. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Happy New Year.
  15. Hello guys, How many scenes would normally make a full length script? Is there an average? Thanks. Enjoy the hollidays.
  16. Well yes. You say you're so talented and you produce, write, and direct; you also have a cast and crew available for you. You have everything to make it big except you are WAITING for a producer to discover by miracle. You've been studying and producing for eight years, you know you are the one responsible for arranging a pitch or a meeting with a producer. You seem very confident, you should have no problem.
  17. This thread is over a year old. Has this movie been made? Just wondering.
  18. Pardon me, I'll rephrase my sentence: to: "Absolutely. Still, there's some great WRITER-DIRECTORS." I doubt Jim Jarmusch is a "whiny autheur who has his story to tell". I know what you mean, "there's no such thing as an "autheur film", filmmaking is team work, but you also knew what I meant when I wrote "autheur films".
  19. It´s very hard to write a good script. I want to be a director, thing is, I don't like AD' ing. For the last 3 years I've working in the camera department, as gaffer/grip, 1st AC or Cam-Op. I've already directed a $4000 short on video, huge crew, which was a great experience, but the final producto didn't turned out the way I was expecting (I suppose I'm not the first one). I would love to direct another short, but my mind is only on this feature length script that I've been writing for over a year. This is the third time im starting it all over. It's hard. Quality ain't easy. I suppose to get to where you want to be, you just gotta take whatever road you think will take you there. In my case, coming from the camera department, I have learned all about lens sizes (basic for a director) and I have learned how to run a film set. Man, gaffers are the underdogs. If you want to have a cool set, be nice to those guys. They can stop your shoot at any moment. Plus, As an AC, you are the one that turns the camera on and off. I love it.
  20. I think any good DP should do that, unless the character really asks for lifeless eyes.
