  1. Hello ladies and gents. Here is my new updated reel :) Let mw know what you think! Cheers. https://vimeo.com/7116901
  2. Real nice! But it would be ten times more powerful, if it would be twice shorter. You have real nice shots, but some are just not as "money" as others, if you know what I mean...
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Must Be Joking blog. Enjoy :)
  4. Nah, in this instance it was just tests :)
  5. Hi Eric, in this particular instance it was a hand-rig. Left one :)
  6. Thanks a lot Daniel, definitely "these guys"!
  7. Hi! Was shoting a simple music video for a competition last week and director showed me some very bizarre filters he found in a storage room at his work. They measured 4' x 3.5' and came in various deep colours like yellow, blue, purple etc. but the key was - the reflections in these filters appeared to have all sorts of colours from blue to green on the yellow filter, magenta on the red etc... Here is a sample picture taken with the yellow filter at 45 degrees: If anyone can help to figure out what are these filters, would be amazing :) Thanks a lot!
  8. So happy for Wally. Well-deserved for Inception and '08 :)
  9. Are we voting on who we would like to win, or who do we think will win?
  10. It's good. A little inconsistent in quality maybe... wasn't a fan of "shiny" nose in the extreme close-up and burnt "whites" in couple shots. The first shot in real nice.
  11. King Jacks - I.N.T.O: http://vimeo.com/19983436 Would love to hear what you think, guys. Thanks for your time.
  12. Matthew Libatique for Black Swan Wally Pfister for Inception Danny Cohen for The King's Speech Jeff Cronenweth for The Social Network Roger Deakins for True Grit Roger Deakins’ ninth... Any thoughts?
  13. National Film and TV School, UK. A good film school. But it's still a film school. http://www.nftsfilm-tv.ac.uk/
  14. It is possible. I would suggest to talk to one of the major lighting rental houses. When you order xenons + mirrors, you always mention they will be used together. I saw a mirror (not a xenon-proof one - production did not specify that a xenon lamp will be used) pop once from a xenon lamp. Nothing spectacular. Just a crack.
  15. Here are some varieties: http://www.google.co.uk/products?client=safari&rls=en&oe=UTF-8&redir_esc=&q=directors+viewfinder&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=aXn7TPXtOIaEhQe4-K3YCg&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCwQrQQwAA
