  1. What worries me is the Product Manager's note that, "the cost per foot would be at least 20% higher than the list price of the closest stocked film".

I'm not great with math but here goes...

Yes, I didn't even want to try to figure out the costs of 100ft after reading that!

  2. Pretty sure its made by Eumig, was made for later Bolex Super 8 cameras that were also made by Eumig. I have one and want to try it on front of a Leicina 10mm Cinegon, but need appropriate setup ring.

  3. Canon and Elmo made a few single 8 cameras based on the same super 8 models. I always lusted for a Canon 518sv for Single 8.

I actually have one last Fujichrome R25N in the freezer!

  4. We develop Fomapan.

We have a dedicated Treise 8mm/16mm B&W Reversal processor and a Allen 16mm/35mm processor with developer tanks for B&W Negative and B&W Print.

We run FomapanR in batches as it comes in compared to Tri-x which is a daily run.

Robert, Are you guys only developing as a negative? No B&W reversal?

  5. Well, it took my about four seconds for this:

Cinelab can develop 16mm, Super 16mm, and Ultra 16mm Color and Black and White Negative Films. We are also one of the very few laboratories in the United States doing daily processing of BW Reversal.

Yes, but it didn't specify which ones. I'm not aware of which process Fomapan R requires, or if the one used by Cinelab is the best one for this stock.

Its been discussed before that Fomapan uses different times than Tri X, and I cannot remember which lab, maybe Spectra, does special runs with Fomapan.

  6. Indeed nice camera's and underappreciated. There is nothing awkward to them. It is just clever design to develop the forehead support option. Like on the Leicina Special, Fujica ZC-1000, Minolta autopak D-10 and possibly others.

The grip folds back for compactness during transportation and easy mouting on a tripod. The only thing might be that the grip is somewhat square when holding it.

The Super and RT-1 connect to the external controller too for maximum serious filming.

I agree with you Andries about them not being awkward! Its just most people don't agree, probably based on not actually using them.

Remember you can use the grip from the Telyt lenses on your Leicina! Can use a cable, or if you can find one, the electric release!
