  1. I think the lenses you refer are Kowa 10 Mega pixel lenses. http://www.kowa-usa.com/kowanewweb/lenses/fa1.html We have two sets and use them on LMP HD 1200. They are very nice lenses all be is a little breathing on focus. The focus very close as well 100mm. Nice Bokeh for a lens of this size. The work well for 3D but the breathing needs to be checked to ensure correct setting of back focus to ensure the image size is identical. They can be fitted with lens rings to to remote They are better described as a 200 Lines per millimeter rather than in Mega pixel lenses for our use.
  2. When you rotate the lens the viewfinder aperture setting displays '00' its about 1m to 2mm rotation, if you turn it too far then the camera display's an error after taking one exposure. if this happens just turn the lens back a bit. I lock it with a small piece of camera tape though it doesn't really need it. Also if its a short zoom 16 35mm lock the zoom ring with camera tape also.
  3. I don't agree, the major plus point of a networked system is they do have internet connectivity. I've run post houses large and small and whilst you have to police internet connectivity via Firewalls and so on its really not really so much of an issue for mac and linux based operations. Where it can be an issue is via Windows based operations where the potential for problems from malwear is much greater. Premiere on Mac is a good move premiere on PC much less so, Apple strength lies in its ability to innovate and in recent years has created excellent and affordable hardware with a very solid OS. I think the point thats being missed is QT workflow has been the secret of successes here on Apple platforms, not so much FCP or any other app. If the media can be exchanged between vendors apps so much more becomes possible.
