  7. Selling my Miller Arrow 55 head. I bought it brand new in December 2008, sole owner. Design hasn’t changed at all as far as I can tell (product photos from BH and such) It has served me well for the past couple of years but I no longer own a heavier kitted camera like a Red and I moved to something smaller. Haven’t used it for about 2 years. The head can hold up to 25kg (55 lbs). It used to hold my Red one with lens, mattebox, rods, battery etc. with no problems. The head has been sent to Miller Europe for check up and eventual repairs at the end of 2014. And it is still there as I had some personal problems the past year and couldn’t find the time to put it on sale. They replaced some clutches that were worn out, due to usage (the things that make the drag settings work), checked the whole thing up, greased everything and put it back together so the head is as good as new mechanically. I can also provide the repair quote if anyone’s interested. Cost a lot :). Just some scratch marks aesthetically on the most used areas as you can see in the pictures. My asking price for it is 4100 euros + shipping to wherever you’re from. I accept PayPal and wire transfer but PayPal is preferred. As i’ve said, the head is still located at Miller Europe (UK), so if you’re from the UK or Europe shipping will be less or you can pick it up yourself if you’re close to their location. Of course if you’re nearby you can go and test the head before buying it or you can drop them an e-mail with any questions that you have. I talked with Leanne there (leanne@millertripods-europe.com), she knows about the head and will kindly answer all of your inquiries. You’re buying a great piece of gear that has been well taken care of and has never failed me on the field. Make me an offer I can’t refuse :) So to recap: PRICE: 4100 euros + shipping METHODS: PayPal (preferred), Wire transfer LOCATION: UK, Miller Europe HQ (Shepperton, Middlesex) PHOTOS: http://postimg.org/gallery/1jhxxn8du/

  10. ok agreed. but there s got to be a starting point, i mean to have to help your grading with your lighting. so maybe they use some classic CTO and CTB gels to enhance the golden-yellowish tint or the blue one, or maybe not, they are using something else. I'm interested to know what that something else is, what type of gel is that ? thanks.
  11. Hello, I've seen a certain trend when it comes to light color, in the glossy, hip-hop, bigbudget type of music videos shot nowadays. I'm reffering to the golden/amber and dark bluish with some hint of green in it. Are there any special types of gels they use on the light, or color correction ? I'll put some links below to illustrate what i'm talking about. and while we re at it how do you make your talent's skin to shine in such a pleasant way like in the video below. Do you use a particular light sourse to enhance this ? To me it looks like they used kino tubes mainly but i might be wrong. Thanks.
  12. Can somebody please recommend some books concerning 3D technology and cinematography ? Thanks
  13. I was thinking about buying a Wave for a starting low budget panel. Is it so bad ?
  14. Why would you use the Dreamcolor with an HD link ? Is it because it doesn't have an SDI input itself ?
  15. Hello, I'm in the last year at filmschool and I have to write a well researched paper about a topic of my choosing. I want to write about 3D in cinema (Stereoscopic shooting not the CGI thing). Any good resources (books, websites etc.) that I should start my research ? Thanks.
