  1. Thanks a lot Michael, I will follow your advice. I will use my external 85 filter for "daylight" conditions. I will also remove the internal filter (maybe 1 or 2 screw to remove on my nizo 801..) to compensate the exposure without doubling the color effect with 2 filters engaged. That's really kind to reply so fast. Regards damian
  2. hello, I get an external minolta 85 filter today for my nizo camera. It's not a 85B filter it's an 85 for 3400° not 3200°. Do you think it will be ok to shoot some negative tungsten film or should I give it back to the owner and buy a true 85B? What's the perfect condition to use 85 filter (not the B one) with tungsten film? (Really bright summer light, dawn lite ...)? On nizo camera (the old grey metal series), the daylight/artificial light selector enable either the internal filter and the photosensor compensation. If I put an external filter on the lens, without selecting daylight not to enable internal filter, it will not compensate the exposure meter. If I put this external filter on my nizo should I set the light type knob to daylight or artificial light ? Should I unscrew the internal small crappy filter to change electric sensor setting without adding 2 filters (internal + external) if I put the knob on daylight position to compensate exposure? I know this topic is often dealt with but with nizo camera it's not posible to put in daylight electric position without enabling the internal filter unless you open the gear and unscrew it. really thank you in advance for your advices. Best regards. Damian
  3. Hello, I want to file down the gate of my nizo (801) in order to get the SD8 frame size. I went at a clockwork craftsman' to ask him to do this task with a perfect technic. According to him it's not that difficult with his diamonds files and a bit of experience :) His price is quite fair as he told me it will be nearly free  The only problem is that he would like to know the exact size of the new frame and want to know if he has to make a new bevel like on the other side of the cavity and if there is a need to paint it in black to finish properly the task. Would you please give me the appopriate size of the new frame and give some precision about the paint & the bevel. Will he has to file down the left side of the existing frame or the right hand size, according to the picture attached: Front side: Back side (with the evilish springs that runaway everytime I try to put the gate back at it's place  ...): Thank you in advance for all your advices, Best regards Damian PS: Put a magnet next to the gate when you remove it, not to lose the small springs that press the brackets.
  4. Hello, I recently bought a NIZO s800 & a 801 and on both, the same thing happens. Let me show you. With the Red lever pulled and locked, When I set the aperture size in manual and I tweak the button, it gives me that (pictures of the gate, backdoor opened): It's quite strange that the diaphragm shape is not circle (like in a SLR camera), but seems to be two clamps crossing each other. Is it ok? or are my camera broken? I really do ask myself about how the film can be correctly printed if there's such a shape in front of it... Thanks for your answer and explanation Best regards Damian
  5. Maybe you should take a look at the "zigview" S2. http://www.zigview.co.uk/ You put the sensor on the view finder and you get a LCD video assist instead of it, That's pretty nice! I want one but it's quite expensive.
  6. Thanks a lot Mitch! I've done it, it worked perfectly.
  7. If you travel & want to protect your film from Xray, you can use a X Ray film pouch. It's really useful! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/shop/344/Fil...gs_Pouches.html I know there's the same thing for S-8 cartridges. or you can use big ones to put your loaded camera inside it. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pho/660676387.html Hope it helps.
  8. Hello, I own 2 Nizo camera (s800 & 801). I want to remove the handles and put a 9V battery pack aside from the camera. I designed an alloy plate to screw the camera to a tripod and a place to fix the battery pack. This plate will be milled at "schaeffer apparatebau", it costs nearly 15?. if someone want the FPD file I can give it in PM (the only thing to do is to choose your anodizing color ;) ). It looks like this: The only problem is that I want to remove the handle as it is useless now, but I don't know how to do this. If someone as ever done this job, tell me how to do that... Really thank you in advance for your advice. Best regards Damian
