hullo there, I'm looking to find double 8mm film stocks in Canada. I know that Exclusive and the B&W film factory both process this film, and that Spectra (and some other places) sell and process this film, but I'm hoping that someone here might know of where I could buy double 8mm film in Canada - preferably close-ish to the west coast? I used to be able to get it from this film lab in Vancouver, but they've since closed down. thanks!!! Earl

hi Jean-Louis, The main thing we want is just a rechargeable battery source for this camera; would you be able to give us a kind of rough ballpark quote for either option - the external versus rebuilding the onboard? We're a very small film co-op - CineVic (www.cinevic.ca), but we also want this camera to be up & running for our members again soon... hullo.. I work for a film co-op in Victoria BC and we've got a very nice Beaulieu 5008 S camera with a hooped battery pack. I searched these forums and found a couple European repair places, but am hoping to locate something a bit closer to home to save on shipping costs. Does anyone here have any suggestions? Christopher Doyle. No contest. He's simply unbelievable & amazing; his shots have such an ethereal & dreamlike quality, it reminds me of how everything looks when you're in love or in grief or in any kind of intense & charged, detail-orientated state. I'd give pretty much anything to get a chance to work with him.
