  1. I'm not sure that they did. I'm down to my last one of these and they have mostly been going out with LCS systems as I had a few of those in stock.
  2. Hi all I have a very special ARRIFLEX 535B kit available for sale. This is a camera with a history on some large pictures, details are available to interested and serious parties. The camera was owned by Clairmont Camera in the UK, when they had an office here, then went to Panavision. I had three 535Bs and they all sold like a shot. This one is a much more extensive kit than the others. Contents: 1x ARRIFLEX 535B Body 1x ARRIFLEX AVF-1 Anamorphic Viewfinder 1x ARRI Anamorphic Ground Glass (Possibly 1x regular ground glass too, just trying to find one) 1x 535 IVS - PAL 3x 535B 400' Magazines 3x 535B 1000' Magazines 1x 535B 400' Steadicam Magazine 1x ARRI BP-5 Bridge Plate 1x Work Light 1x 22Ah 24v Battery £5,995 + VAT. No VAT for vat registered buyers in the EU, or buyers outside the EU. Pictures and further details available to serious buyers only.
  3. Luke Email me on James@tee2.tk, I may be able to sort you out James
  4. For anyone reading the above, my lenses were collimated by ARRI a few weeks ago and reported to be 100%. They look basically unused.
  5. Alex I recently fixed a crappy leaf on my SR3 - it is fiddly but it can be done! Email me on James@tee2.tk and I will tell you how. You will need a set of jeweller's tools though (really tiny tools) James
  6. Mad speckly artifacts in that last picture are my phone's camera being crap!
  7. Picture of one (they are both the same) Will accept £200
  8. David Excellent to see a book come out in this under-served field. I may buy it as I am always curious to see how other people do things and I don't believe you can ever learn enough :) James
  9. I couldn't put a finger on MWTDITW. Some of it looked absolutely gorgeous, then other bits looked extremely video. I also can not and will not ever understand the decision to use a 360 degree shutter in a situation where lighting is not at a premium (unless for effect)
  10. Hi all, Does anyone know the distance the rear elements protrude on the Angenieux Optimo DP series of lenses? I am thinking of using one on my F35, but you cannot use lenses with rear elements protruding more than 31.5mm into the body. I remember finding a diagram somewhere which showed one of the lenses was just about OK, but the other wasn't. Now I'm damned if I can find it. Would appreciate any help. Thanks! James
  11. What loads does the A-Minima take? Does it need a special winding or something?
  12. This kit SOLD at the asking price. Regular SR3A still available
  13. Hi Guys I've bagged a deal on several PV size IR ND filters. These are genuine Tiffen items. They are ex-demo stock, used at trade shows to show customers the benefit of the filter. 15. Hi Guys I have been doing an inventory of a couple of 435s, I have a spare anamorphic viewfinder available. This is a super-rare item to come onto the used marketplace, they still command huge money. I got a deal on this one so willing to let it go cheaper than other examples on the net. Works perfectly. Asking £4,000 shipped worldwide. Can include anamorphic ground glass for extra Pics available on request James
  16. Small note, I have a couple of kits so the one you receive may not be identical to the one above, but will have all the same parts, if that makes sense.
  17. I feel I should point out that whilst I understood what Michael Mann & Dante Spinotti were going for in Public Enemies, it isn't to my taste. I am sure it is to Michael Mann's, and that is what counts. Personally, I feel automatically dropped out of a film the moment I see a shot with an open shutter, as it feels so wrong after being so used to 180 degree shutter. I understand why it is there, and I have had to use it myself, but I still don't like it :( I really loved Barry Lyndon though, as a film & a cinematography thing, which I really wasn't expecting to as classic "period" films are not my bag. I have an ARRI 535B recently arrived here and I am NOT looking forward to handheld with it...
  18. Hi All I am sure many of you have seen my listings on here for some S16 bits recently. I have had quite a few enquiries about a fairly fully-featured kit, which seems to be more appealing to most people than parts. In particular, batteries etc... are a concern so I have gone through my full inventory and I am able to offer - one time only - this fully-featured kit. This is basically everything you'd need to start shooting S16, just add a tripod and film. I repeat, I can only do this offer once! Thanks should go to Matthew Alcorn, soon to be proud owner of SR3A no. 8027 - it is thanks to him I made the contacts to make this deal possible! So, the kit I have put together: 1x ARRIFLEX 16SR3A Camera (Ex-Panavision) Former rental camera of Panavision UK. In the condition you'd expect of an ex-rental camera. Ie. very "characterful" cosmetically, but mechanically solid. Panavision look after their kit. Kit includes: 1x ARRI Colour IVS (Video Assist), 3x 400' magazines, 1x Wide-angle Eyepiece, 1x Eyepiece Extension, 1x Heated Eyecup, 1x Lightweight Rods Support, 1x Battery Adapter for onboard batteries, 1x ARRI MB-17 matte box and 1x right-hand eyepiece To this I am adding an ARRI BP-6 bridge plate AND ARRI dovetail plate, which allow mounting and balancing on a tripod. Lens-wise, I have managed to obtain one last unit of the stunning CANON 6.6-66mm T2.7 lens. Google this lens, search on here for it, it is a stunner. It is much better than the famous 8-64 that Canon made their reputation with. The 6.6 is sharp from end to end and extremely good even wide open. If you need one lens, that is it. How to control that lens? I am including an ARRI WIRED 3-AXIS LCS in the kit too, this takes the place of a follow focus and gives you easy control of zoom, focus and iris remotely. Super handy for complex shots! Far more versatile than a regular follow focus. Finally, I have been asked many times about batteries for the SRs. I will not sell an SR kit with the onboard batteries they come with. Why? Well, quite simply - they're not very good. Some of these batteries are up to 20 years old, some countries around the world have started banning Ni-Cad batteries and I do have difficulty shipping them. So, with this kit only I will be shipping a brand spanking new 24V block battery - that's a large battery, in a pelicase, that hooks up directly to the camera and will provide all the power you could need through the shooting day. The price of all of this? £7,995 + VAT or $15,000 USD - NOT TAX. These are shipped prices. One time only offer. Open to sensible suggestions but you WILL NOT see an opportunity like this again. For reference, Visual Products in the US are currently stocking an SR3 kit at $4,750, the last time they sold a 6.6-66mm (they do not have any at the minute) they were $8,900 and they are selling the Wired LCS without even a case for $4,900. On top of that, you're getting a Matte Box ($1450 at VP), Bridge Plate ($1,295), Dovetail plate ($A lot) and a new battery (About $600 worth)! Serious enquiries only. I have lots of pictures, will be uploading some of this kit soon, have attached pictures of Matt's kit as a demonstration (hope you don't mind Matt!) James Martin
  19. Holy poop and I thought uni/film school in the UK was expensive. Seriously, have you considered studying abroad? Sounds like it might be much cheaper than doing it in the US. In the UK, under the right circumstances, you can get paid to go to uni here.
