Hy all, has someone any good idea regarding a car commercial lighting day/outdoor, in a supermarket`s parking lot? I was thinking of placing some 20x20 white silk above the car, and maybe one or two additionals 20x20 frames of white Griffolyn to the sides. The car won`t be moved, so I will probably have the chance to put some 12K`s through some WD-frames to enhance certain highlights. Thanx for any good advice! Best. Olivier

Hi Phil, as far as I understood,, the 3D Technician needs all the lens and sensor Parameters to reproduce the same field of view in Computer. On top of that we have to shoot HDR shots with a mirrored silver ball. If it`s not a matter of the Crop Factor, what can I do to achieve everything a DP should look for in such a Situation (prodviding all data for CGI). As I already wrote, I`m pretty new to VFX Shooting. Any additional advise would be very helpful. Thank you.

Hi all. I have to shoot my first Real2VFX Spot. Varying 3D Models will be added to real shots. The 3D Technician asked me for the Crop Factor of the lenses we will be using while Shooting 2K and framing for HD. Does someone know how to calculate the Factor? I`m open for each additional advise! Hi all, maybe a too simple question, but i need to know whether using the full range 2 K sensor with pro res 4444 is possible or will it be downampled to HD? On top of that: does anyone know how to get the cropfactor for a 3D Artist when working with real shots on which a 3D model will be build in later in post? Hi all. I need to shoot a very close framing of a water blister - with RED. I thought to shoot 2K with 120fps and a 200mm telemacrolens. Someone of you might have better idea or experience to realize the shot. I`d really like to know :-). Thanks in advance! Olivier

Hi! I need to do a shooting on HD with Panasonic HPX2100E and have my own old sd-lens 2/3. Is it possible to use it on the hd-cam? will i get loss of focal length? Thanks for some help!

I shot a boxing scene in 25fps/200 shutter, but all I got was sharp looking images - no "stroboscopical" or shutter effect. In the AC from 98, Kaminski was interviewed about the making of that effect, but I really don`t remember how he made it work, but I know, it was more than only that change of the exposure time.

Thank you both! I`ve already tested it on video with a shorter shutter speed, but didn`t get those results. Is there something additional in the post to be looking for maybe?

Anyone knows how Kaminski made those shutter shots in the battle scene? And a these days, there are lot of those shots in contemporary commervials and films too, which different possibilities we have to achieve them? I guess this could be a question for Mr Mullen.

Hello Elliot, yes, I meant doing a 2K masternegativ from my 4K-DI. Is it possible to do the downvonvertion on the arrilaser or does ot have to be made in the DI first? Olivier
