I'm a student and money is tight, so I'm selling my 16mm Moviscop with a bench and rewinds (clean, working condition) and my Yashica Dual 8mm Viewer (like new) in order to help pay for replacement projector. I would like to sell this as a package, please pm for pics and with fair offers. Thanks...

    Single-8

Awhile back I inquired as to the current state of double super 8, and now thought I would basically try doing the same for single-8. It seems you can still get cartridges from a few places, but do many people still use it? Advantages/disadvantages? Any experiences with it worth sharing? Thanks...
  9. Had a couple requests for pictures, thought I would post them here to make it easier. More can also be provided... Thanks...

  12. Sorry, I'm desperately interested in the Pathe DS8/BTL Pro (please anyone contact me) instead. Hopefully someone else needs one of those cameras though...
  13. Alright thanks. Furthering this just a little more, would anyone happen to have contact information for an Andrew Hayden who was at one time of the UK (and may still be). Much appreciated...
  14. Temporarily re-animating this thread, if anyone happens to have some experience with the Pathé DS8 cameras (or have one they'd be interested in selling/trading), please contact me, I have some questions I would like to ask...
  15. Hopefully it's not bad form, but rather than create a whole new topic I'll piggyback off this one and state that if perhaps anyone has an extra standard 8mm CIR splicer I'd very much be interested...
  16. Hey,

don't mean to be a pest, but I was wondering if you still had a line on a Bolex DS8 (sorry for using the comments, but for some reason it says you can't receive messages)? Thanks for your time...

  17. Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated. I think I am going to just keep this Bolex as is, but if anyone happens to have a line on an existing DS8 camera please do contact me...
  18. Having given the search function a bit of a work out and finding most relevant posts anywhere from 3-5 years old [assuming I'm using the search function correctly], I thought I would try and see if I could get a sort of 'updated picture' on double super 8. I'm toying with the idea of converting my Bolex H8 Rx to ds8, but am not sure I can come up with enough legitimate reasons to do so. Way back when there seemed to mainly be an argument over how much bigger the frame size actually was (vs. reg 8mm), as well the lack of options for ds8 stock, etc. So for those perhaps still utilizing this format, whatever general thoughts you might have on the format or related issues at this point in time would be much appreciated...
