  1. That sounds good! Thanks for the hint!
  2. Thanks! I tried to charge the batteries, and it seemed to work correctly. But when I let the charger cool down again (unplug and wait a few minutes) I can charge the batteries again - Plug everything in, both LEDs light up and the Batteries get warm. After a few hours the LEDs go off. I could repeat that a dozen times. But when are the Batteries fully charged? Thanks!
  3. I'm thinking of getting this Cine Kowa lens kit for my Arri SR2HS: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Arri-Arriflex-PL-Cin...#ht_4956wt_1167 What do you think? Has anyone ever used them? thanks!
  4. Nice!!! But it only works with daylight spools, right? Would be stoked to see footage shot with it!!
  5. I wondered what the exposure time would be on my SRII when I use the Cinematography Electronics Timelapse unit. Couldn't find the info on the CE website. Thanks, regards
  6. Hi, Today I got my Arri SR2 HS. I tried to charge the batteries, and have a question about the charger. I found out that I can plug one of the battery-cables in the charging unit, and then both LEDs light up. But what is this good for? Thanks!
  7. Hi! 1-5: no :) But yes, probably I've done something wrong when importing the dpx files. Synchro in Vienna. Ahm What? (sorry - Ive never worked with dpx files before) Here are two unedited screengrabs: opened the dpx with photoshop and converted it into a .jpg Ps: Sorry for not calling back - Ill give you a call tomorrow afternoon, because tomorrow I have a "Nachprüfung"
  8. Hi! Today I got my HD back, with the dpx files. I converted them into a ProRes QT and edited the file in FCP. I did the cc in Color. The strange thing is that nearly all of the shots were way too dark! I used my Canon 1D MkII as "lightmeter" - bad choice? Any advice? But here is the video: http://vimeo.com/6400044 Everything was shot with the Angenieux 15-150, except the last five scenes (9mm Ikonoskop)
  9. Thanks a lot!!! I did a test shot with the lens at various f stops and focal lengths. The film is now at the lab. Will get my full HD to Disk scan this week. I also tested it with the Ikonoskop 9mm lens that came with my a-cam. In the meantime I found out that leicashop.com here in Vienna could clean and recollimate the lens for about $300,- I'll keep you guys updated! I will also upload the demo clip on vimeo! The Bolex got a B Mount! But I will get my SRII converted to S16 and PL mount, so a PL mount lens would be a better solution! Thanks! Regards
  10. Thanks! Ok, so i think something went wrong with my camera, but I will call Les tomorrow! Im sure he can fix it:) Thanks guys!
  11. Hi, not to get me wrong, I do definitely not want to run him down! He is for sure a great camera tec.! And yes I will ring him, but I just wanted to find out whether this is normal or not.
  12. Les Bosher converted my Bolex RX5, but I'm not happy at all with the conversion. Dust in the viewfinder and on the gg, a mysterious white line in the viewfinder, and also the edges of the new s16 gg don't look really "clean". I tried to contact him a couple of times now (also used different email accounts, to make sure there is nothing wrong with my email server) But he never responded... I attached a few pictures of my camera. I assume not all viewfinders look like this after conversion? Any ideas how I can clean the viewfinder myself? Thanks!
  13. I got my Angenieux 15-150mm f/1.9 S16 Zoom lens really cheap on eBay. But there is quite a lot dust in the lens :( Bernie O'Doherty could clean and re calibrate it for about $300,- But I'm not shure whether it's worth it. I couldn't find any footage shot with that lens. Any experiences with that lens? pictures:
  14. Thanks! But Im looking for PL Mount Cine lenses… Prime lenses would also be fine, but I think a set of prime lenses is far more expensive than one zoom lens
  15. Hi, I'm looking for an affordable super 16 zoom lens for my Bolex. I have an old Angenieux 15-150 f1.9, but this huge thing got some dust inside… would be too expensive to clean and re calibrate. What can you guys recommend? Thanks, Regards
  16. I'll shoot a shortfilm this summer on Super8. I'm not sure which Audio recorder to use. What would you guys recommend? An old Nagra 4.2 or the Fostex FR2 LE ? Thanks!
