  1. i really don't get why kodak is making such a fuss about selling their products...maybe they hate being associated anyhow to poor productions, so they just sell to professionals?
  2. Andy, 400 pounds as minimum order would be just fine if i'd get loads of stuff! if i was going to spend that money at andec i would get less than10 rolls of tri-x 16mm...
  3. that web site contains blackhole eploit kit...i wouldn't go near it...
  4. yeah, apparently kodak sells directly everywher but in italy...fuji is indeed much more friendly, but they are quitting the motion picture business in a few months and they do not sell super8...i might as well want to try and ring up kodak UK...i just don't know anymore, i feel like i'm loosing all my enthusiasm...
  5. good for your daughter! i'd pay those 44€ from andec, plus shipping cost from Germany. How s h i t is that? 18,33USD = 13,75€ I'd pay mor than three times what you pay....maybe 4 times considering the shipping. i should just give up with film http://www.andecfilm...stellung2e.html
  6. yeah, i agree. i just didn't do anything to the colours. i just put the clips together and added some music...maybe a bad telecine, or they just stayed muted for me to decide how to change the look?
  7. i shot this for a friend's wedding shot on 200T https://vimeo.com/38706525
  8. i did try a couple of years ago...but they said they couldn't sell to non professionals...i was kind offended aswell. that time i was looking for 16mm film...after kodak i rang up fujifilm italian's office and they were well pleased to halp me! They offered me the best price i could find, also when i recived the pack i saw they gave me an extra 400ft roll for free! ...so sad they're quitting the busines...
  9. i wish kodak would directly sell their films here in italy too...if i could find film at those price i would shoot a lot more...you lucky americans!
  10. at this point they could just cut tri-x as well...who's going to buy it at double price??!
  11. thanks bill! that's awsome! very good price indeed! I've just been informed by BluecineTech that kodak icreased the price massively...so i'm afraid that even this seller you pinted will do the same as BlucineTech, when they order their next batch....
  12. oh...yes...they just increased the price by 6 pounds...very good! now what am i gonna do :( they used to sell it for 12.99
  13. hello guys, i used to buy my super 8 films from BlueCine Tech because they had the best price i could find in the whole europe...but now their web page seems to be not up to date and all the negative films are out of stock. I tried to send them an e-mail but got no answers... So, does anybody know a place where i can find Vision3 200T, 500T and possibly 50D for the same reasonable price?? thank you!
  14. hello bluecine tech (london) Andec (berlin) FOtocinema (rome)
  15. i bought a S16 modified with m42 lens mount and just can't wait to shoot something with it! i am really curious to see some footage shot with the peleng 8mm...anybody? my camera comes with the meteor 17-89 I understand that below 25mm i'd get vignetting (because the lens mount hasn't been modified) is this right? i will put together some money and get some decent lens, what M42 primes would you suggest? thank you!
  16. hello! I shot this one a couple of years ago with one 64T super 8 film, enjoy!
  17. ...i figured out this: i think the beam splitter reduces the light of about a whole stop and that 1/43 is 1/3 of a stop slower than 1/60 i rate the V3200T iso 160 (T) 100 (D) in daylight: -settings on Nikon f4 shutter priority on 1/60 iso 64 in artificial light: -settings on nikon f4 shutter priority on 1/60 iso 100 i will use internal spot meter setting to read the light on the grey card placed in front of the subjec and directed towards the camera
  18. hello i will be shooting a short S8 film in the next few days and i need a help.. I own a nizo 3056 and some V3 200T i think i will not use the internal light meter for decideing the exposure but my trusty Nikon F$ camera and a grey card Now the question is this, what ISO and Shutter speed should i set the nikon on? I know that my nizo has a shutter speed of 1/43 wich is something in between 1/30 and 1/60. i also should keep in mind that this camera has a beam splitter prism wich take some of the light (but how much?)...how do i compensate for this??
  19. i used baking paper for still photography. the inconvinience is that if you fix it too close to the light source you get harsh shadows. in order to get softer shadows i tried to move it away from the light, it works, but it is not very handy. for my int. scene i will use 3 point lighting technique, but i will substitute the fill light with a bouncing white board and add a light for the background. 500w key light 150w back light 100w back groundlight the scene is setted in a pub, the performer musician is playing the guitar sitting on a stool in front of the bar giving his shoulders to the bar-girl behind. the background (where all the bottles are)is also lit by some small lights on top of the shelves my lens is 2,5 fast and i was thinking about using 200T film stock, will i have enough light? thank you!
  20. ...and if you got spare time to waste, http://www.vimeo.com/6800460 Thank you!
  21. this is the frist time i ever shot on film, it was july 2009 during the Pistoia Blues Festival. i used 2 vision2 200T and one 500T now i wish i only used the 200T... hope you like it! http://www.vimeo.com/6550934
  22. that was great! i really liked the lighting! really well shot! i like when at the end the beardy man says: -i didn't see her!- that is brilliant! it is like he "couldn't" see her because she's someone else's routin! i loved it!
  23. I used wodden pegs to fix the paper on the light, yes...this is a trik that was taught to me by photographer and a good friend of mine...thinking about him makes me sad, i wonder if i ever see him again.
  24. for still photography i use that paper that goes in the oven (sorry for my english!) it works fine because it doesn't burn even if the light bulbs are really hot, what do you think? will that do? otherwise i guess i could use white sheets thank you so much people!
  25. I'm getting ready to shoot my frist 16mm and i need some advice...please! I will shoot a music video (for free, obviusly) and my budget is really low, so i was looking for a cheep way to light up INT scenes. what about a couple of 300W working lights? I've been told that those lights give a color temperatur of 2800K and the film stock i will use is balanced for 3200K. If i'd use an 82B filter to "cool down" that light and maybe correct the colors a little bit in post, will i get acceptable resoults? I also have another question about metering. i posted it in the student section... thank you very much guys, i love this forum! I'm sorry i am not much of a help here though!
