  1. Hi. I have shot one roll so far of the Ektachrome 100D S8 through my Sankyo CME-1100 and it turned out great on auto. I also played around with the slow motion feature and they turned out great with this film when projected on my screen. The sharpness of this film was really great even in shadow and in outdoor light the colors were really vivid. I never used the Ektrachrome 64T, but from what I can tell (based on youtube uploads), the color with this new film looks much improved. I used the camera filter plug (that disables the amber filter), but I believe it was automatically disabled anyways when I inserted the daylight balanced film cartridge. Anyways, just wanted to say awesome job to Kodak with this new film!! Glad they are still supporting this great medium!
  2. Anthony, If you are just starting out with Super 8 equipment, I would definitely recommend something along the lines of the Canon 814 Auto Zoom like Tron X recommended. I recently bought one on ebay, but I believe the exposure meter was dead (I went to B&H to try new batteries but they did not fix). With this camera, exposing is not really a big deal if you understand apertures. You just flip the exposure setting to manual, and set according to your light. The results I obtained over a weekend trip were great with the Ektachrome 100D. 64T is being discontinued per Kodak so I would only be concerned with the 100D compatibility for reversal, or maybe 50 if you like Velvia. This Canon 814 Auto Zoom will autiomatically set the 100 film speed. Another great thing about this camera is you can engage/disengage the internal color conversion filter. When I shopped around, I just read online sources and found cameras that could read a wide range of films. You never know when something else may be released. -photoboy
  3. Super 8 film user. Love the look of the kodak stocks on the silver screen!

  4. Hi all. I recently acquired a Sankyo Super CME 1100 super 8 camera and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit. I haven't used it yet, but it looks to be a great camera, even came with the original box, lens hood, and manual. Looks like it will read the new Ektachrome 100D film too which is great! Any help would be appreciated! -photoboy
