This might be a better solution for joining the track as you don't need to have the end notched for the set screw. You can drill two separate holes. Hi Steve. Does the notch have to be drilled in the middle of the two ends? Would it be the end of the world if you shifted the coupler over 1/2 inch and only had a hole in one end of the pipe? If the couple is 6 inches long I would think it will still provide enough support and a smooth enough joint.
