  1. Hey guys new to the forum, was hoping I could get some responses. So I have been working on color grading a music video I shot. We shot the footage in a studio white cyc with black floors. I am grading it to black and white and am giving it a look of crushed blacks and bright highlights and midtones. In some of the shots the lighting isn't as even as perceived when monitoring the footage on set. The problem I see when grading it is that my highlights tend to get "for lack of a better word" like a big blob and I'm looking to evenly produce an all white background. Any help would be great thank you!
  2. I have been using the canon dslrs for broadcast television. Strictly for local commercials. We mainly use them because they are quick easy to set up can use multiple cameras at once all on a low budget. They give a nice shallow DOF something missing in a lot of local commercials in my area. Our footage continues to stand out and our clients love us because we aren't renting any equipment out. We mainly use the new 5D Mark iii, but have used all of the video equipped canon dslr's and have recently used the panasonic gh2. I see us upgrading to the new Black Magic Cinema Camera, but for now the 5D's are here to stay!
