  1. Friend, looks like you´re trying to back up the Avi file? If you try to just put it on a DVD, it will not play in a DVD player... If you want to convert it to a DVD format, I sugest you use "DVD Santa", I think it´s free and it wil convert your avi file directly to .VOB (DVD files to be recorded in a DVD disk). It will manage to adjust the quality to fit into a 4.7 DVD disk. Cheers, Fredalme
  2. I just love the work of Sergei Urusevsky in "The Cranes Are Flying" a fantastic movie by the russian director Mikhail Kalatozov! Anybody seen this film? The sequence where the girl runs behind a fence is just incredible! And there´s so many more.
  3. Than You David. I´m looking foward to get it.... There's also "Film Lighting" by the same author and I'll take a look at it too. I'll probably be doing a short movie in 16mm (or digital) and I see now that's exactly what I need to get started.
  4. Hi folks, I´d like to know your opinions about the Cinematography Book by Kris Malkiewicz. Is it any good? Is it a good start for a Cinema Student who gets more and more interested in Cinematography? I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and it´s very expensive over here so I´d like to know what you think of it! Thanks a lot! :D
  5. Does Anyone knows a good book about the technics and life of cinematographer Gregg Toland, the one from Citzen Kane and many other movies? I would apreciate if someone could tell me about it. Thank You!
  6. If you liked those aerial shots, You should see WINGS, made in 1927. I prefer the shots in Hells Angels, but the aerial cinematography in WINGS is interesting too.
