But it looks like it already has an sdi out. Sorry I'm not a expert. I need something under 300 that can be plugged directly into the camera. Any ideas?
Maybe it's the quality of the speakers. There is no way on tascam dr05 to choose between internal or external microphone. Once you plug it in, it uses it as main mic.
I just did another quick test. LINK
This time I wasn't using headphones, and surprisingly audio is a little bit cleaner. Can headphones cause problems?
Hello, my Rode Videomic pickups scratchy noise that comes from boom pole.
Here is equipment I use:
Rode videomic with rycote lyre mount
Tascam dr 05 linear pcm recorder
Rode boompole
Sony headphones (mdr-7506)
Rode extension cable
I included a sample bellow where you can clearly hear the noise.
It was recorded using the following settings: Rode mic set to 0db, Tascam set to 50db. Microphone was 1 feet from speaker.
Anybody knows what can solve the problem?

Hello, can anybody advice how to mount Angenieux 12-120mm f2.2 on BMCC and avoid vignetting? I did some test shooting in 1080 and then pasting video into 720p timelane, that eliminates vignetting complitely but that's only 720p. Are there any doublers that can be used?
PS. Angenieux is M4/3 mount
Recently I found an article showing Angenieux 12-240mm adapted to be used on Canon 7D making it a 38mm-768mm lens on APC sensor or 24-480mm in 35mm.
Would this set-up work? Angenieux 12-120mm (cameflex) > M4/3 (adapter made by Hawk) > Doubler (teleconverter) > M4/3 to Canon EOS adapter > Canon 7D.
I just bought good polarizing filter, hope that should do the trick.
Check out this video test. It's completely color corrected for night in post. Shot during the day. https://vimeo.com/69831177
Thanks for the info, Adrian. I remember few months ago I went to UK and friend of mine was making a short film. Corporation of London (if I remember well) said he needs a public liability insurance that covers 2+ millions to film in the woods or any park in London. We called few companies to find out that insurance costs 500 and above, which is about $800. That's crazy! Eventually we shot everything without permits.
I plan to shoot film here in LA next summer and really have no idea how to avoid permits. I think I'll go gorilla style.
Can somebody list good filters to use when shooting day for night in color?
I know that with black and white film day-for-night was easy done by using a red filter and under-exposing by half a stop. Any ideas how to do it with color cameras or film?
Hello everyone, is it legal to film in the woods or beaches without obtaining permission and spending tons of money? I heard some people say if your crew is under 5 you can do it, some say you can't.
How is the law in USA, UK and Canada?
