  1. Has anyone shot ski racing before? I'm going to shoot some tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out how to go about it. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I don't have a budget on this project and will have to find a way to use my Panasonic and 60D in a creative way.
  3. Hey guys. I wanted to get your opinion of things. I've been a shooter for a long time now off and on. I got my degree in broadcast then got my masters in advertising. I'm trying to learn as much as I can on a budget and I'm trying to figure out which of the following is the best use of my time. The majority of the stuff I shoot is doc based and I'm really trying to give it a more cinematic look. Looking forward to hearing your advice. http://www.creativelive.com/courses/still-and-motion-storytelling-location-corey-rich http://www.creativelive.com/courses/hddslr-moving-still-video-vincent-laforet http://www.creativelive.com/courses/vince_laforet http://www.creativelive.com/courses/hddslr-filmmaking-gale-tattersall
  4. Thanks Rob. Why a varicam if you don't mind me asking?
  5. Thanks for the input. I'm trying to figure out how should I do this in a documentary. I know I want my cinematography to be more dynamic and not look like a news program.
  6. Hey guys. I'm new here. I'm currently trying to shoot a short profile about a local hockey player in my hometown and I'm trying to figure out what format to shoot it on. I have a Canon 60D and a Panasonic HMC-150. I'm concerned that my Canon may not be the right format for the gig. Hockey is pretty fast and I'm worried about rolling shutter and trying to focus. I'm also a little concerned about getting the right angles and shots to tell the story effectively. If you guys have any ideas let me know. Thanks!
