  2. Hi Simon, Thanks for your note. I am not sure what type of barrel was on this lens originally. I have never seen an Optivaron zoom which is not a C mount and it looks like this was not for a C mount. I will play with M42 extension rings, and see where I go with it, maybe could work, or these extension rings would work as a barrel. Will post back here with the results around Christmas. Have a good one! Cheers
  3. Hey Dudes...i cam across this awesome Schneider Optivaron, with an unusual mount. The thread is the same as M42 but it has a long barrel, so I am not sure what camera (possibly film camera) this lens made for. Its not a C mount, and the rear side of the lens diameter is equivalent to standard 35mm film camera lenses. I am trying to hook this up with a Panasonic AF m43 but so far, because of the M42 lens converter I have, makes this lens barrel way too close to the sensor...so everything is out of focus and range.. if you have any suggestion, i would really appreciate it Thanks guys!
  4. hello...i know this is an old topic...but if you are still looking for one, I have a great one...
  5. Hello! I have two fantastic Super 8 camera for sale. 1) Leica Leicina Special. High end Super 8 movie camera. Mint condition. Including the ST1 Leica interval for time lapse and remote control, original leather bag. Leica Optivaron Lens 2) Beaulieu 5008 S Multispeed. Including battery, charger, leather bag, Scnheider Optivaron Lens. Message me if you are interested. I have shot a music video with both cameras recently. These cameras never let me down. 7. Hi Folks! I am in a bit of a struggle sorting out a video tap for an Arri 16 BL. Do you guys know what lens I need for the CCD (if i need any?) or magnifier glass/lens? I don't have an eyepiece for the Arri only the attachment for viewfinders on the camera. I appreciate any advice or help....thank you!
  8. Hello...another topic about making a DIY Video Assist. I saw many times DOP's attaching high res CCD camera to the viewfinder on vintage film camera. I wish to do so too so i have purchased a great Hitachi HD CCD mini camera which perfectly fits into the viewfinder. Question is do I need a lens for the CCD camera? or the lens/mirror in the viewfinder/camera is enough for a good framed picture? The other confusing question is that my Arri 16 BL has a 12pin Fischer output I believe that was for a speed controller. Could i use this output to power up my ccd camera using the right wiring and cable? Let's say if I know which oins on the Fischer connectors are the 12V and the ground...? Any thoughts would help a lot...and thank you!!
  9. Hello. I have for sale an Arriflex Unvesal Lens Blimp+Matte Box+ Filter Holder. Came off an Arri 16BL Camera also listed on ebay. Message me if you are interested. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111390438342?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Cheers!
  10. Hello.....does anyone know the required amperage for a 1965 Arri 16 BLEQ motor? 12V for sure but what should be the amperage on DC power supply to gain enough power for the motor? Cheers!
  11. thank you guys for suggestions...i thought i will include a vide link of the Arri 16 and it's fault...i have no clue why she is doing this to me but one thing for sure that the motor is working and the fuses are ok... here it is:
  12. I went inside the motor area on the Arri. The motor itself looks pristine but the connector to the BLEQ panel looks like this....am i right sayn that isn't normal right? looks like some cable overheating.....i didnt know that the actual motor and the BLEQ panel are two separate thing so I am suspecting something going wrong on the panel and not in the motor. Any suggestion? I talking about this and discover this rare beauty. Cheers
  13. Thank you guys for help, advise and suggestions. Best Regards, Levi
  14. Hello Dear People I have just received an Arri 16 BL with a crystal motor which I can not recognize.(pic attached) Having trouble to operate the camera as the motor is acting weird...i have an XLR4 12V battery for this cam as recommended. When I plugged it on the power the camera started to "cough" and cogging which I found weird...then I found that I could actually change some connectivity or circuit manually swapping a little 6 pin square plate at the back of the motor (see picture with the rods removed) and after that as soon as I plugged the camera on power the motor kept running on 50+ speed all the time without me switching on or off, nonstop and I can not even change the frame/sec at all...could anyone help me what is this as I honestly have not seen anything like that...thank you!
