hello, I have a 10, 16, and 25mm kern switar lenses on my Rex 5 and was wondering if upgrading to Macro switars are worth the extra costs? Is the price difference justified? I've been shooting on my Bolex quite a lot lately and would love to get the best image possible. Thanks in advance!

hey everyone, I've been shooting a decent amount of 16mm lately and was thinking about investing in a camera. I have it narrowed down to the Aaton XTR prod or the Arri SR3 advanced. Hello, I'm on a shoot that will requires a lighting setup with a giant bay window. I would love to light it as minimal as possible. How would you guys light this to get a natural looking image that has a bit of mood to it. The Pingpong table will be flipped 90 degrees so the 2 characters playing will be shot profile side for this angle. This window does not get any direct light throughout the day. Almost entirely on the Easyrig Vario 5 except for a few locked down establishing shots at the end. This film was a lot of fun to work on and was one of the first projects I relied heavily on the Easyrig. thanks for the reply. well the 2 rolls have the same white line on both rolls but the light leak is only on one roll.

Hi everyone, I recently shot some rolls on my rex 5 and I noticed that this roll had a a light leak on the right of the frame the entire time, and a small white line going through the entire roll. You can see the tiny white line on the second frame where the arrow is. I sealed the bolex up well and the other rolls didn't have the red light leak. hello, I have a kern switar 10mm that seems to slightly out of focus when looking through the diopter at infinity. It looks in focus on the closer focal lengths of that lens. The kern switar 25mm i have is in focus at infinity as well. I think the diopter isn't perfectly focused to my eye It has some issues and was recently serviced but i don't think was fully fixed. Could that be the issue? I'm nervous the wider landscape stuff i'm shooting is going to be out of focus. thanks!

thanks! I wonder how it got mislabeled? A designates the claw cover, the metal sheet. The screw I mean would be about where the arrow points to. You don’t need to remove the claw cover.

hey everyone, I purchased a Bolex from my friend and it's strange because is said "H16 S" on it but it's a reflex camera and from what I've learned all of the "S" models are non-reflex.
