  1. thanks! The processing and scan was done at metropolis post in NYC. Our mixer had Stephanie lavd up all times and a mic hidden near the register. After about 10 seconds of rolling the audio would get out of line but our post mixer was able to line it up. Hope that helps!

    Short Doc

hey everyone! Wanted to share a short film I recently shot about a fishing shop that has been in San Fransisco for over 60 years. Shot this on a Bolex Rex 5 with a set of Switar primes (10, 25, 75) on Kodak 250D. We pushed the stock a stop. Hope you enjoy, thanks for watching!
  3. I was saddened to hear of the loss ff Jesse Chambless of Chambless Cine Equipment. I always had a great experience when dealing with Jesse for all of my Bolex needs throughout the years. Posting this here for anyone who hasn't heard of the news. RIP Jesse
  4. One of my Bolex motors died on me and I had a tech repair it for me. It was also aREX 4. If you want to repair your REX 4 hit me up and I'll send you his info.
  5. I was wondering what the main differences between Pizar RX lenses compared to Kern Sitar RX lenses? I often see the Pizar lenses selling for much lower on ebay. Are Kern lenses sharper and superior? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  6. yes, you can most definitely use that lens with you Bolex. Probably my favorite lens to shoot on
  7. I'd like to see some built in ND, and no skulls lol
  8. take a c-stand to a car dealership and run some tests :)
  9. ok good to know! Correct focus ring reaches infinity but it's not sharp. It's not the camera because I've tested on 2 different Bolexs and my other 10mm lens is sharp on both. Thanks for the hep, Dom.
  10. Hi Everyone, I just purchased a really nice kern switar 10mm preset. Unfortunately it won't focus to infinity. I was wondering if it was worth keeping and having a tech service it, or should I just ask for a refund. Is it fairly easy to fix? Thanks for the help
  11. hey! yes like i mentioned above the gate was slightly too large and gave the film a bit of a wiggle. Apparently it's not that uncommon on the REX 5. Hope that helps!
