  1. Yes, I used and adapter when in the states. It sounds like it is worse to have messed up a transformer. Is this the case? Is there anyway there is a more benign reason for the lights not turning on? post script: I don't know why italics is locked on ...
  2. Right, so I tried it switched to 220V and I got nothing. I do not remember where it was switched to when I first plugged it in, but it might be important to note that the power sockets on the device itself are the two-pronged european style. Not sure if that offers anything. Barring anything coming from that information I am going to assume the fuse is blown and I am going to have to find one some where out here. боже факин мой.
  3. Damn. I am currently in Russia and the last time I used the charger was in America. A quick google search reveals: "Russia uses 220 volt electricity (America uses 110 volts). Most electrical devices support both." On the back of the charger itself is a red switch that can be flipped from 220v to 115v. Is it possible I blew my fuse by not having the correct orientation on first plug in?
  4. I have not. To be honest I would not even know how to do that. Is there a troubleshooting guide somewhere I can read?
  5. Hello I have a question about an Arri SR3 Dual Batter Charger: Mainly, I am concerned whether it is still working. When I plug it in and try to charge the batteries the red lights no longer come on as they did in the past. I can not find any useful information in the owners manual so I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me. ID #: k2.47014.0 Here is a picture from Visual Products: http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail02.asp?productID=233&Cat=3&Cat2=49 Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.
  6. I Emailed Dom after he responded and he requested I post it here so others might benefit: ME: Hello Dom, Thanks for answering my question. It was very helpful. My follow up question is if you know the size of the two pronged driver I need? The manual doesn't specify beyond "special wrench". Thanks in advance. DOM: Hi David, Feel free to ask these questions on the forum so others who may Google such a topic can also get to see the answers. As far as the size of the "special wrench" goes, I don't know exactly, it's been some years since I worked on SR3s, but it just needs to fit the slotted nut. Something like a 4mm flat screwdriver with a 2mm gap ground or filed out of the middle. I used to make my own if the factory ones weren't quite right. You could even just use circlip pliers or some other tool with small tips as long as you were careful not to damage the nut. Good luck, Dom
  7. Hello, I am trying to fit my Arri SR3 into my carry on case and I think that it will fit better if I can remove the viewfinder, but I am having trouble actually taking it off. Obviously I do not want to break it. Does anyone have any advice on how to safely remove the viewfinder? The Arri Manual I have has two pictures and some instructions I do not fully understand. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to get 16:9 aspect ratio. That is what was confusing me as well. I can not see the appropriate port on the back of the monitor. I would be open to buying another monitor as long as I can attach it to my camera. My goal is to try to fly my camera on a Steadicam. The problem is I am so green that I do not even know what to search. Could you recommend a brand, a certain version, or anything that can point me in the right direction? Thanks again.
  9. Hello, I was wondering if any of you could help me ascertain if a certain monitor would work with my Arri SR3 Advanced, and if so which wires/cables would I need to achieve this? In particular this monitor: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nebtek-NEB70HD-7-LCD-HD-monitor-VariZoom-Lenmar-power-batteries-Marshall-Ikan/263093170571?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Additional information: I have a sony XC-75 video camera module. The pictures I am trying to upload are apparently too big, but I have a link: https://www.ccdworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/xc-7573e1.pdf On the bottom of page 2 you will see a picture of the available ports. Sorry my formatting is ugly. Anyway I hope that you guys can help and I appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks!
  10. Hello, I am looking to buy a set of Side and French flags for my Arri MB-16. I have been searching Ebay for a while and I have also called shops around the area, but no one has any. I was also wondering if I might be able to buy a set of flags for a different matte box and attach them to my Arri MB-16. Does anyone know if this would work? Thank you in advance.
  11. Hello, I have a few questions about these lenses: 1) Are they still for sale? 2) Do you have a price? 3) Are you willing to break them up or are you only selling as a full set? 4) Could you provide more pictures of the lenses? 5) And do you know if they are MKI, MKII, or MKIII (also if they have the regular aperture circle or the triangle) Thank you.
